Here’s what’s coming up for the week beginning Monday October 24.

Cash takes an arrest too far and is too rough with a criminal

It’s Cash’s first day back on the job since the shooting, and Rose and Felicity are worried that he’s returning to police duties much too soon. To make the situation more complicated, there’s a theft and assault at the Surf Club to deal with as the first task. When Roo and Cash interview Remi, it becomes clear Cash isn’t as patient and compassionate as he used to be.

Later, when the cops spot the criminal with Remi’s guitar case, Cash takes his arrest much too seriously and tackles the man to the floor. The guy begins complaining about police brutality and says he’s injured, leaving Rose to wonder – is Cash really ready to return to work?

Is Marilyn trying to destroy Roo’s tutoring business?

Marilyn has had her work cut out lately as she defends accusations made against her by those she cares about. She’s shocked when John shows her a cruel message sent to Jett from her own account which says that he’ll always be a disappointment because he’s adopted. She’s adamant she didn’t send the message, but Roo begins wondering if she needs her medication checked.

Roo’s suspicions grow when she checks reviews for her tutoring business and sees a scatching set of remarks posted online. She immediately accuses Marilyn of trying to destroy her business, which leaves Marilyn highly offended. Was it Marilyn, or is someone trying to frame her?

Bree reveals her surprising secret to heartbroken Remi

Remi has made no secret of his admiration for Bree, the new doctor who has seamlessly become one of the locals at the Bay. The pair have spent some time together, but Bree has made it clear she isn’t interested in anything beyond friendship. When Remi is attacked and robbed outside the Surf Club, he is sent to hospital and decides he’s died and gone to heaven when he realises he’s in Bree’s hands.

After getting the treatment he needs, Bree looks on wistfully as Remi plays the guitar from his hospital bed. However, when Remi later decides to bluntly ask Bree why she keeps shutting him down, she delivers a shocking blow – she’s married.

Marilyn breaks into Heather’s van – then gets caught by the cops

Marilyn is beginning to feel like everyone is against her – Roo has seemingly decided she’s behind the cruel message to Jett and the scatching online review of her tutoring business. Irene encourages Marilyn to report the message sent from her account, but Cash is cold and callous when the two women arrive at the station. While Marilyn waits for the cyber crime unit to respond to her report, she decides to take matters into her own hands and sneaks up to Heather’s van. Once she works out it’s unoccupied, she goes in. However, Heather is secretly watching from a few metres away and stages a panicked call to the police. Alf and Roo are horrified to discover Cash has arrested Marilyn for breaking and entering…

Justin tries to help Lyrik – but loses all their money instead

Lyrik is riding the wave of success after their online video went viral. They’re getting plenty of booking requests, but the admin is getting them down. They realise they need a manager to negotiate gig fees and sort their touring calendar out. Justin is immediately keen when he hears about it and prepares the ultimate pitch. He’s stoked when the band takes him on, then quickly realises he’s out of his depth when he doesn’t know how much Lyrik should accept as a fee per gig.

To make matters worse, he takes his poor negotiating skills to Mackenzie and starts playing hardball about increasing the fee for Lyrik’s regular gigs. After the conversation turns sour, Justin has some bad news for the band – he’s lost them their main source of income…

Marilyn finds out the truth about who Heather really is

Marilyn may have been arrested for breaking into Heather’s van, but while she was in there she got the information she was looking for – Heather’s birth certificate. It confirmed what she suspected, so she confronts Heather with the evidence. The cat is out of the bag – she knows Heather is her daughter. Heather’s face becomes serious – good. Now they can stop pretending.

Dropping the act of being concerned for Marilyn’s wellbeing, Heather unleashes her real feelings to her biological mother – how could she abandon her as a baby? What’s more, how can the Bay hold Marilyn in such high esteem, when in reality she ruined her daughter’s life? Marilyn is left speechless, but she’s got some explaining to do…

Cash and Eden can’t resist reigniting their old spark

Cash isn’t taking any hostages with his new, cold attitude. He shows up at the hospital to interview Remi about the assault, and Eden notices he’s no longer the kind, compassionate man she knows. She decides to invite herself to the station for lunch later, and when they get talking Cash blurts out the question – why did they never work out?

Eden is honest – he wanted serious, and she doesn’t do serious. A few days later, Felicity asks Eden to check on Cash, and Eden manages to get Cash out for the night. After an evening of drinks and reminiscing about old times, the pair can’t deny their old spark and in the morning they wake up in bed together…

Nikau worries when Tane announces a drastic decision

Tane and Nikau are pleased to finally be done with court and move on from the biker gang situation. However, Tane is in a strange and wistful mood, confusing Felicity and Nikau when he has some strange questions for John about the gym’s lease.

Felicity asks Nikau what’s up with Tane, and they decide to help him out of his weird headspace. Nikau speaks to his uncle when they get a quiet moment together, and Tane admits that he’s not feeling happy working at the gym anymore. He’s thinking about selling it…
