How to paint plastic plant pots
The plastic manufacturers use for some pots comes with a sheen which isn’t exactly conducive to painting.
People will find applied paint runs off the vessel, with little to none of it sticking.
They can solve this problem in a few different ways and with several different types of paint.
People will need the following materials:
- Plastic pots
- Acrylic, chalk or gloss enamel paint
- Paintbrushes
- Sandpaper
- Cloth
To get the paint to stick, they need to follow these steps:
- Thoroughly wash the pot with soap and water
- Leave it out to dry
- Sand the surface of the pot with sandpaper
- Wipe the pot with a damp cloth
- Paint
- Protect the paint by adding the sealant
- Let it dry
