Coronavirus symptoms – woman explains the very worst sign of COVID-19 infection

Coronavirus is an infectious disease that has been confirmed in more than three and a half million people across the world. One woman has revealed that her key sign of COVID-19 was a very high fever.

The UK has officially passed the peak of the coronavirus infection.

But the government has urged the public to stay at home, to avoid becoming infected or spreading the virus further.

Despite nearing the final stretch of the COVID-19 outbreak, hundreds of people are still dying in the UK everyday.

An Australian patient has explained she developed serious symptoms of coronavirus after a trip to the UK.

Casey Edmonds, 26, self-isolated in Perth, Australia for four weeks, after visiting friends in London.

She arrived in the UK on March 12, but was advised to return home just a week later.

Edmonds explained that a few days later she “felt a bit off” and had the sweats, but still thought she’d be okay.

She was advised to seek medical help after speaking to a doctor on the phone, and was tested at hospital.

“I went home and I got really, really sick that day,” said Edmonds.

“I was on the phone to my mum, as any 26-year-old would be, telling her I’d never felt so sick in my life.”

“The fever was probably the worst for me,” she said.

“I didn’t think that I would get it. I maybe should have been a little bit more cautious but I just didn’t know at the time.”

As well as the severe fever, Edmonds also explained that she had chest pain, and lost her sense of smell and taste.

After her appetite returned, her overall condition started to improve, and she admitted that had been “super lucky”.

You could be at risk of coronavirus if you develop any of the key warning signs.
