When news broke that Cheetos would host its first ever fashion show at New York Fashion Week, it actually made sense. After all, the cheesy snack had made its way on the runway a couple times before, namely at Moschino and Chromat. So, on Sept. 5, Cheetos opened the doors to its own House of Flamin’ Haute.
Models walked down the runway in 21 looks inspired by Cheetos fans and curated by fashion influencers and stylists Luanna, Hungry Hipsters, Alexa Jade and J. Bolin. Each piece practically oozed the orange dusted snack, from subtle flame prints and orange tulle to bold Cheetos shirts and hats.

One of our favorite looks from the night was the first, a red tulle high-low gown with red thigh-high pleather boots and an orange box clutch. And the final look, designed by costume designer Ami Goodheart, was made from Cheetos bags and featured a train that opened to reveal hundreds of yes, you guessed it, Cheetos.
If the Cheetos-inspired apparel didn’t give it away, this was no ordinary fashion show. As audiences at NYFW generally sit in silence with a poker face or their phones out, the crowd at House of Flamin’ Haute wooed as each model made their entrance on the runway, while Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” blasted from the speakers.

At the end of the show, rapper Saweetie came out to perform her hits “Icy” and “My Type” in her own Cheetos getup, while celebrity attendees in the front—Ashanti, Angela Simmons, Milo Manheim and Lela Loren—cheered her on.
The House of Flamin’ Hot was open to the public through Sept. 7 for fans to come in and get their own Cheetos-inspired hair, makeup and nails done at a style bar. Scott Disick and Sofia Richie even made an appearance!
It was a NYFW show that will surely go down in snack history, or at least all over Instagram.
