Those beastly ‘goat shoes’ are going mainstream in 2019

This designer isn’t hoofing around.

Avant-garde tastemaker Maison Margiela‘s Tabi boots — an iconic women’s leather shoe with a split-toe detailing — are officially back en vogue.

Unsurprisingly, hype-loving millennials are going hog wild for the Internet-dubbed “goat shoes” — which were first introduced for women in 1989.

“American Horror Story” and “House of Cards” actor Cody Fern, 30, ignited the kooky trend earlier this month when he rocked the Paris house’s recently-released heel hooves — yes, they are newly available in men’s styles, too — on the 2019 Golden Globes red carpet.

Now, paw pumps are the latest fashion trend predicted to take over 2019, or at least according to the likes of GQ.

Margiela just dropped an array of spring styles on MatchesFashion.com, including canvas sneakers in both low- and high-top variations, loafers and OG Tabi renditions that run between $419 and $905.

Margiela’s polarizing shoes are actually inspiring some passionate fashionista defenders on social media, with one outraged fan tweeting “How can you get a job at a fashion magazine and still refer to Tabis as goat shoes? … The ignorance!”

Another lusty fan declared: “Cody Fern looks dashingly evil with those goat shoes i’d let him step on my face tbh.”

Only time will tell, however, if these camel toes for your feet will go down in footwear history as the G.O.A.T.
