Shopper accuses PrettyLittleThing of fuelling girls’ insecurities after noticing their dresses were sized wrong

A TEENAGER has slammed PrettyLittleThing for fuelling girls’ insecurities after she bought a dress in two different sizes but found the 'larger' size was smaller.

Rebecca Owen, 17, took to Twitter to vent her fury at the brand after she bought the bandage hem bodycon dress, costing £32, in sizes six and eight.

But when she compared the identical frocks, she found the blue size six dress was BIGGER than the red size eight.

Rebecca, from Stockton-on-Tees, uploaded a snap of the dresses on top of each other, with the difference in sizing clearly visible.

She captioned her post: “Blue size 6 dress vs a red size 8 dress. plt wtf.”

The teen is now wary of buying from the e-tailer again, saying: “I already had a blue dress in a size 6 and I ordered the red one in a size 8 hoping for it to fit me better.

“But when it came it was so tight and clearly much smaller than the blue one which was so strange because they were exactly the same dress.”

She lashed out at the store, saying: “The prices have gone so high and half the time the sizes are completely off.”

Her tweet has since been liked more than 3,000 times – with people sharing similar horror stories.

One person commented: “Knew the sizing of these was weird !!!!”

Someone else wrote: “That’s so strange, and really not helpful.”

A third said: “Explains why I can never get right size anymore.”

And this person added: “Knew I wasn’t fat!!”

Responding to comments, Rebecca later retweeted a post which said: “No wonder we're all so f****** insecure.”

PLT also responded to Rebecca’s tweet, saying they were pulling the dress style from the website.

They said: “We’re sorry about this!

“We will pull this style and have the sizing checked right away.

“Please DM us and we will arrange for a replacement to be sent.”
