When it comes to fashion, Princess Eugenie of York hasn't walked an easy path. Growing up in the public eye has meant that those universal adolescent fashion missteps were prime headline fodder. At the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011, the York sisters' statement hats stood out for the wrong reasons – though Princess Beatrice, and her loo-seat fascinator, took most of the heat for that one. It clearly hasn't put Eugenie off; gamely, she's requested that all female guests wear millinery to her wedding.
This Friday, we can expect to see Eugenie in a pitch-perfect white dress – confirmed to be by a British designer, and pre-approved by the Queen – along with the York diamond tiara. Beatrice is rumoured to be maid of honour, so her outfit will be on the traditional side too (or will it? If any bridal party is going to make unique choices…).

But the added sport will be a guest list that could rival the Sussexes' in terms of fashion fabulosity, since Eugenie has made some very stylish friends over the years – documented via Instagram (she's the only British royal with a public account). Equally, her fiancé Jack Brooksbank's working background – in nightclubs and tequila – speaks to a fun crowd, and there will be a second, more relaxed, day of celebration on Saturday, along the lines of a festival or summer fete.
With the guest list numbering 850 for Friday's ceremony – that's 250 more than Meghan and Harry's – there will be plenty of space for Eugenie's fash pack gang.

Eugenie might be famously shy, but she's been a regular at London night spots, often with Prince Harry in tow. Images of the pair larking about in a photo booth with Margot Robbie and Sienna Miller, which emerged after a party in December 2015, could hold clues to a few invitees.
Actress/model Suki Waterhouse and her business partner Poppy Jamie will probably be on the list, too. Eugenie's also been spotted at California poseur fest Coachella with Alexa Chung and musician sisters Haim, all of whom sit front row at fashion shows. And longtime pal Ellie Goulding is even rumoured to be a bridesmaid.

Amal Clooney's yellow Stella McCartney dress was one of the best frocks of the royal wedding in May – and on Friday we'll see if she can top it. She is likely to be there as husband George co-founded Casamigos tequila with Rande Gerber, and groom Jack Brooksbank is its UK ambassador. Gerber's plus one? Most probably his wife, Cindy Crawford: here's hoping she dusts off the slinky metallic dress she wore to close last September's Versace catwalk. And if Princess Bea has any sway, then BFF supermodel Karlie Kloss could up the glam factor – though whether the Queen would approve of her signature mini-dresses is another matter…

Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas – Harry's ex-girlfriends – were arguably the most surprising guests back in May, with Davy in a navy Alaïa dress and Bonas wearing multicoloured stripes from Eponine London. As friends of Eugenie's, it's likely they'll be returning to St George's Chapel.
The Delevingne sisters – both models, with closets to match – are safe bets, too. Cara was rumoured to be at Eugenie's 25th birthday party at Royal Lodge, and the Princess joined the sisters to celebrate Poppy's 32nd birthday back in May. Earlier this year, Eugenie attended the weddings of Lady Melissa Percy (to Thomas van Straubenzee) and Alessandra de Osma (to Prince Christian of Hanover), so politeness argues that she'll reciprocate.
Pop-culture royalty
Dress code: full catwalk looks
Just as Eugenie has befriended her generation of party-loving Londoners, so did her mother before her. Sarah Ferguson's old pals Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell (never knowingly underdressed) may make it on to The List. After Eugenie helped Harper Beckham celebrate her sixth birthday at Buckingham Palace, we can expect to see David and Victoria, no doubt wearing one of her own designs. Probably too much to hope that little Harper has snagged a spot on the runway, sorry, aisle.

Actual royalty
Dress code: British brands, nude tights, almond-toed stiletto pumps
Bit of a no-brainer, this one. The Duchess of Cambridge will probably choose something understated, partly to ensure she doesn't detract from the bride and partly to ensure she's able to keep Prince George and Princess Charlotte in check (rumoured to be page boy and flower girl).
The Duchess of Sussex's last visit to St George's Chapel was on her own wedding day, so Friday's celebrations will call for a very different outfit.
Meghan and Eugenie are said to be firm friends, and double date with Harry and Jack in tow, but as to whether she'll follow Eugenie's lead and wear British, or tactfully re-wear an outfit, as the Duchess of Cambridge often does, we'll just have to wait and see.
I'd guess that Meghan will be keen to take the opportunity to show a little fashion personality instead, and continue her streak of high-impact international designer outfits with the high-price tags to match.
