Princess Charlene debuts dark hair and rainbow detail dress at Monaco Grand Prix

Princess Charlene is one of few female royals who wears a pixie cut hairstyle and today, she debuted her chic do in a darker shade of brown.

Pictured singing the National Anthem just minutes before the Grand Prix race commenced, the 45-year-old stood proudly in a simplistic a-line dress.

The navy tone complimented her new locks, which appear much darker than her blonde-silver look which she styled for King Charles’s Coronation.

For the summery occasion, Charlene opted for a sleeveless, floor-length number which featured colourful strands down the centre of the pleated dress.

She also wore glamorous sunglasses to complete the simple yet eye-catching ensemble.

The mother-of-two was the picture of elegance as she observed the tense race in her home country.

While Charlene’s long chiffon-style dress was relatively shapeless, the fabric perfectly hugged her slender figure – particularly her small waist, long legs, and strong arms.

Colourful striped inserts down the centre of the garment lengthened her tall figure while adding a vibrant contrast to her fair complexion and dark hair.

In keeping with her slightly edgy but chic style, the Princess sported dark nail varnish and cobalt blue heeled shoes in a regal court design.

Charlene wore her hair in a deep side part with a face-framing fringe swept to one side of her face.

Highlighting her sharp bone structure, the royal channelled Kate Middleton’s soft makeup look with a bronzed contour and flattering pink-toned lips.

Her eyes appeared to be dusted with a shimmery shadow and her cheeks rouged with a light pink blusher to match her defined lips.

For an added touch of glamour, the Princess, who was born in Zimbabwe, wore delicate silver studded earrings. These appeared to be the only accessory styled for the occasion.

While the dress appears to be a new look for the Princess of Monaco, Charlene’s heels look similar to a style worn before.

The suede shoes feature a pronounced point at the front and a garden ombre, perspex heel with a large square base.

As a lover of designer clothing, the stilettos are by none other than Christian Dior and retail for £332.39 at Vestiaire Collective.
