EVER wondered what goes on inside your dishwasher during its cycle?

A man decided to discover the answer by putting a GoPro inside – and the stomach-churning results have horrified some people.

On his @povsadventures account, the man said: “I put a camera in a dishwasher because I – like many others – wondered what really went on in there.

“I added a light so it would be super clear.”

The man showed how he put one camera in a plastic Ziploc bag lying facing down on the cutlery rack.

He also added another strapped to the front of the cutlery holder in the bottom too.

One of the often forgotten tasks in the kitchen is cleaning the dishwasher.

It can be a mystery how a dishwasher actually works, but cleaning it is actually quite simple.

Your dishwasher needs a thorough cleaning every six months, but little jobs can be done regularly to keep on top of it.

Wiping grime away from the door, both inside and out, should be done whenever it is needed.

Regularly rinsing the filter is also a must.

If there are any smells lurking you can always sprinkle some baking soda at the bottom of your dishwasher as this is a deodorizer.
