Mum’s brilliant passive aggressive messages on her kid's lunch bags are so relatable fellow parents want to buy her paper bags

Whitney Cicero, from California, struck a chord with fellow parents all over the world after sharing the hilarious captions online.

Annoyed that she has to prepare her 12-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter's lunches, Whitney started writing notes on the brown paper food bags they take to school.

Far from your typical motivational phrases, the snarky remarks range from "get off your phone" to "Fortnite is not a career".

Whitney, who goes by The New Stepford blogger, explained: "I first started writing passive aggressive notes on my kids' lunch bags because it was either that or poisoning them."

Her daughter convinced her that the bags were so funny she needed to post them on Instagram – so Whitney did just that.

The funny mummy – who also creates funny video content for her social media channels about being a mother – had an overwhelming response to her simple bags.

She said: "People loved them and asked where they could purchase them."

Although at first she didn't understand why people would want to buy paper bags when they could simply draw their own, she gave in and set up her own e-store, passiveaggressivelunchbags.com.

For £7.79 you can grab a pack of 10 paper bags from Whitney, and every month she switches up the messages she has on offer.

Fans have been commenting on Whitney's Instagram posts about how much they love the bags.

One named Julie said: "This is my fave!" and another named Layette added: "These just keep getting better!"

We love the idea – but to be honest we're more like to pop to the shops to pick up a sharpie and some brown bags…
