Mrs Hinch uses fabric softener and boiling water to get her sink gleaming – and it’ll leave your kitchen smelling of fresh laundry

Sophie Hinchcliffe, 28, from Essex, revealed there’s a simple way to polish your sink and dish rack and also make it smelling of freshly-washed clothes.

Mrs Hinch, who has 1.5 million followers on Instagram, said the trick is using fabric softener.

She uploaded a step-by-step video to show how you can achieve her gleaming sink with minimal effort.

Firstly, you should put the plug in your sink before placing your dish rack inside and adding two caps of your favourite fabric softener.

In the video, Mrs Hinch could then be seen adding a full kettle of boiling water to the sink, which submerged the rack.

She then explained she leaves it for a few hours, before topping up the sink with more boiling water.

The cleaning whizz said: “Fills the house with the smell of washing. Let it soak for about four hours topping up every so often with boiling water.

“Once soaked use a scourer to remove any last unwanted build-up. No harsh chemicals and no scrubbing for hours.”

A later Instagram story showed the sink and dish rack sparkling clean.

Mrs Hinch went viral on Instagram last summer, thanks to her snaps of her immaculate home.

She recently delighted fans by announcing she is expecting a baby with husband Jamie, and also bringing out her own cleaning book.

If you follow her page, you'll know that she gives some of her favourite cleaning products names, in order to make cleaning fun.

As well as Vera the mop and Dave the feather duster, her favourite antibacterial pad is named a "Minky", after the Minky M Cloth brand.

She admits that it "may sound odd to some, but it is a laugh for us all and now everyone is getting involved".

And they certainly are getting involved.

"Hinching" has become such a craze that Minkys can now sell for up to £20 on eBay. On Amazon, prices start at £11.86.

So it's quite amazing that they're retailing for just £2.50 at Morrisons.

Unfortunately, nothing that Sophie recommends stays in stock for long – remember when disinfectant Zoflora sold out almost everywhere?
