Meghan Markle’s second child and Archie are (sort of) related to Beyonce and Hilary Duff – The Sun

ALL eyes are on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as they prepare to welcome their second baby in the world this summer, who will join big brother Archie.

When the royal tot arrives, not only will they be born into one of the most privileged families in the world, but they will also have a number of surprising celebrity relatives.

Did you know that Johnny Depp and Danny Dyer are distantly related to Her Majesty and therefore have ties to her new great-grand child?

And they aren’t the only stars with royal connections.

There are a number of famous singers and actors that share ancestry to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and any kids they have…

Here are some of the A-list stars who aren’t just royalty on the red carpet…

Beyonce

She’s known as Queen Bey and it’s no wonder as she’s actually descended from royalty.

Her and the Queen are distant cousins, meaning Meghan’s baby will be related to the world-famous singer when he or she is born.

According to CBS News, Beyonce is the Queen’s 25th cousin, once removed.

Danny Dyer

Eastenders actor Danny Dyer has discovered he’s related to two kings of England, William the Conquerer and Edward III, as well as Thomas Cromwell.

The cockney star’s surprising blood links are revealed in the new series of BBC One programme Who Do You Think You Are?, in which celebrities trace their family trees with the help of  genealogy experts.

Danny, who grew up in Canning Town, east London, told Radio Times magazine that he’s especially pleased by the connection to Cromwell, who was born to a tavern owner in Putney, served as chief minister to King Henry VIII and helped orchestrate the downfall of Ann Boleyn before he was executed for treason in 1540.

Kit Harington

His character Jon Snow was the reluctant King of the North in Game of Thrones.

And in real life, actor Kit Harington has royal links himself.

The star is a descendent of Charles II, and his royal connections come from his grandmother on his dad’s side, Lavender Cecilia Denny.

Hilary Duff

Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff was long considered by fans to be a princess of the Disney channel.

But the star is also related to the Queen, who is her 18th cousin.

Hilary was stunned when she learned on Who Do You Think You Are? last year that she was also related to the most important king in Scottish history.

Her ancestors came from a prominent, well-off family, and her 21 times great grandfather was the King of Scots, Robert the Bruce.

Genealogist Nick said: “If this was the 13th century you would be a princess.”

Paris Hilton

Reality TV queen Paris Hilton also comes from a regal bloodline.

The heiress is Elizabeth II’s 20th cousin, it turns out.

They both are related to Henry II of England, who ruled from 1154 to 1189.

Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal and his sister Maggie are popular on red carpet events and in high-profile films.

But did you know they are also linked to King Edward III, through their father's side?

This royal linkage makes them 19th cousins to the Queen.

Uma Thurman

Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman has made a big name for herself on red carpets and in numerous blockbusters.

She's also the Queen’s 21st cousin, once removed, so shares a link to Prince Harry's baby.

On her dad’s side, she is a direct descendant from Edward I, who ruled England between 1272 and 1307.

Hugh Grant

With his effortless charm and floppy hair, Hugh Grant is one of the most popular English actors on the big screen.

And the London-born star has royal ties too, being a descendant from Henry VII, the first monarch of the House of Tudor, who was Henry VIII's dad.

He is also related to James IV, King of Scotland, who ruled between 1488 and 1513.

Tom Hanks

Many consider Tom Hanks to be Hollywood royalty, thanks to films such as Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan.

But the accolade doesn’t just finish at his movies.

He is actually a descendant of King John of England, who ruled from 1199 to 1216.

Michael Douglas

Meghan may have left acting to join the royal family, but there are plenty of other thespians in the family.

Will Archie or Meghan's second baby take after distant relative Michael Douglas, who is famous for his roles in Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct.

The acting legend is the 19th cousin once removed of the Queen through King Edward II of England.

We shared the Queen’s ‘sadness at barely seeing Archie’ and why she ‘won’t meet Meghan & Harry’s new baby unless they come to the UK’.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace aides "rolled their eyes" when discussing Meghan Markle's "common" baby shower, the author of Finding Freedom claimed.
