Meghan & Harry latest news: 'Zoom calls are often interrupted by Archie' – LIVE updates

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry's video calls are often interrupted by their son Archie who "climbs in front of the web camera and makes little impromptu cameos", their biographer has claimed.

Meghan and Harry have continued to work throughout the global pandemic with charities, regularly joining Zoom calls from their Santa Barbara mansion.

The ex-royals Zoom calls sometimes feature an unexpected guest appearance from their one-year-old son, Archie, according to Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie.

This comes as a new series of satire Spitting Image has been confirmed, with Meghan Markle, Piers Morgan and Adele in the firing line.

The show will be on Britbox from October 3.

Celebrated Spitting Image co-creator Roger Law revealed a team of artists have been working furiously during lockdown to create the instantly-recognisable puppets.

    A royal expert says Prince Harry should continue to have a base in Britain despite him quitting the British monarchy.

    It follows the Sussexes announcing they had paid back the £2.4million of taxpayer money to renovate Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

    Commentator Richard Fitzwilliam told the Express the couple should continue to hold the residence as they have paid the refurbishment costs.

    He said: “It is important to remember Harry spent his life as a British royal and particularly for him, and for Archie, it’s very important to have the base in Britain.

    “I don’t think anybody reasonably would expect them to give it up. It will be their base which they have now paid for, and that is how things will remain.”

    The Duchess of Sussex had an online chat with clients of a UK charity which trains and dresses unemployed women for interviews.

    Meghan launched a charity clothing collection with Smart Works last September, and in the virtual call one year on she heard from three women who were helped by the charity.

    The former Suits star hailed the “confidence” the clothes bring, which can propel women on to “the next layer of success”.

    Speaking to the three women, she said: “People can say that so much of Smart Works is about the clothes themselves, but it's really not.

    “All of that stuff is the exterior, but it's what it does for you on the inside that ends up being the best accessory.

    “Right? It's the confidence, it's what is built within, that is the piece that you walk out of that room with and walk into the interview with that will take you to the next layer of success.”

    Meghan revealed that she’s known to many as MM and also wrote in her now-defunct blog The Tig that some people called her M&M.

    Doria Ragland is Meghan Markle's mother, and the American lives in Los Angeles, near her daughter and Prince Harry. 

    The 64-year-old, who works as a yoga instructor, has a home in the View Park-Windsor Hills neighbourhood of LA, just an hour-and-a-half drive from Montecito, where Harry and Meghan recently bought a house.

    The couple have just stumped up the £2.4 million the taxpayer splashed out to have the historic Windsor bolthole renovated.
