Jessie James Decker Opens First Kittenish Store in Nashville: 'It's Fun, Flirty and Fabulous'

In between raising three kids under the age of 4, being a wife to hubby Eric Decker, recording new music and prepping for a 2019 concert tour, Jessie James Decker has somehow found time to expand her popular clothing line, Kittenish. And it’s not just by designing cute new pieces — she’s opening the brand’s first ever brick and mortar location.

The new store, opening in Nashville on Saturday, February 16, is a first for the retailer (which previously only operated online), but something Decker has always dreamt of creating.

“I have been designing and sketching clothing since I was in middle school,” Decker tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I was a big fan of Selena [Quintanilla] who was a singer-performer and fashion designer who had her own boutique in Corpus Christi. She inspired me at that time in my life.”

So now that it was Decker’s turn to turn her dream into a reality, she didn’t need any help getting her ideas in order. “I had a vision of what I wanted it to be and I love the way it turned out,” she says.

“It’s fun, flirty and fabulous,” she says about the vibe of the store. “Everything is trendy while also being unique in its own way. The store is fresh, youthful, warm and welcoming. I also, I feel like it’s a teenage girl’s dream — it’s what every girl would’ve wanted as a teenager.

She says choosing Nashville as the location felt like a perfect fit. “I feel like I embody the Nashville girl’s style,” Decker says. “I’m a Southern girl, but still fashion-forward and practical.”

Shoppers can expect to see popular pieces from the brand, plus a few exclusive looks, including the Conductor Overalls ($68) that Decker models in the photo above, which will only be available at the Nashville location.

And while she said she didn’t need any help from her family when it came to designing the store, she did have them on-hand during the final prepping stage.

She brought her nearly 1-year-old son Forrest Bradley to help her out in the store, sharing a sweet video playing around and dancing with her smiley baby.

And two nights before the opening, her hubby Eric stopped by for a little dance party with Jessie, who shared the couple’s sexy routine on Instagram.

While we were catching up with the country singer, we also asked Decker all about her own fashion sense, including her style icons, her must-have items and more. See her answers, below.
