I’m a proud Catfish mum who uses makeup to hide acne- but you’d think I was a different person from my amazing glow-up

NOW that we're coming out of lockdown, we're having to refamiliarise ourselves with the contents of our makeup bags.

And let's be honest, we'd completely forgotten how a quick swipe of foundation can transform your face – something makeup artist Jewels Maben knows all too well.

The soon-to-be mum-of-three has amassed over 426,000 followers on TikTok thanks to her incredible make-up videos – and her Catfishing clips are among the most popular.

Last year, the social media star shared a video of her epic glow-up as she got ready for the day.

She captioned the clip: "It's the same person. Promise."

At the beginning of the short clip, the mum lip-synced the song My Heart Went Oops with her hair scraped back in a bun and without a scrap of makeup on.

In the next frame, the mum is all glammed up and almost unrecognisable with her red lipstick, stunning blue and green blended eyeshadow and fake lashes.

And like a girl after our own hearts, Jewels previously said that she uses her makeup bag to cover up her skin when it breaks out.

Talking through her daily makeup regime, the mum said: "We're gonna be a Catfish today and I mean ALL day.

"My foundation is not gonna turn orange, it's not gonna cause more acne and it's not full of ick. Let's go."

It's the same person. Promise.

Using a damp beauty sponge, Jewels then proceeds to cover up her spots – which she refers to as "nasties" – with foundation and blending it in.

"Beautiful either way," one replied. "But dayyyyum girl!"

Another gushed: "Seriously, come teach me your way Jedi master."

"I struggle everyday to cover blemishes," a third said. "I love your looks!"

For more real life stories, this mum will have spent £3k on Botox by the time her baby is born as she doesn't want to look like awful mums in her antenatal class.

And this woman was so devastated when her IVF treatment failed that she asked wedding guests for donations- after raising £6k, she's now had twins.

Plus this woman was fat-shamed at the gym and told to leave because her crop top showed off my belly – she's never felt so ashamed.
