I transformed my backyard with a 'zen' corner – I love the tropical waterfall and the lighting looks amazing at night | The Sun

AN interior designer has transformed her backyard into an area of calm and tranquility.

Her zen corner features a tropical waterfall and well-placed lighting that looked amazing at night.

She was thrilled with the result and her were followers too, with many making a pledge to copy her design ideas.

“Backyard transformation," was how Eryn (@everythingeryn) described plans for her external space.

She is just the lady to take on such a task because her TikTok remit is all about “décor and DIYs and everything stylish.”

Her design tips have proved to be enormously popular too because she has over 677,000 followers and a whopping 8.7 million likes.

In this post, she shared her backyard makeover with her fans.

"So we just moved into a new home and each week I am transforming a new room and I’m taking on something I’ve never done before," she explained.

Eryn had a very particular theme in mind for the outside area: “We want this to feel very zen," she said.

This meant the addition of a few well-chosen features, she said, "so we added this waterfall, these rocks, and lots of lighting."

Her backyard was a work-in-progress, she said, and far from finished.

“We are still trying to figure out what we wanna do for the rest of the space. So stay tuned," she said, rounding off her post.

But she did have one word of warning for other householders renovating their open-air spaces.

“Fun fact there are more spiders in your backyard than you think.”

Nearly 79,000 liked her post, which also attracted hundreds of comments.

Commenters universally applauded her makeover.

“Girl, I just bought a house so keep it up so I can get ideas," gushed one fan.

Another was equally effusive: “Obsessed. You literally embody all of your projects.”

“Omg, I want to copy everything. Looks so good," said a would-be garden designer.
