I thought it would be a good idea to get tattooed eyeliner but they utterly botched it – now I've got to have it removed

TATTOOED make-up is all the rage at the moment, with tonnes of people choosing to have their eyebrows and lips given a permanent outline.

But one woman's decision to get permanent eyeliner went horribly wrong when they "botched" the procedure and left her with wobbly, uneven lines on her lids.

Abby took to TikTok to share a video of herself with the liner on, writing over the clip: "Thought it would be a good idea to get tattoo eyeliner and this is the outcome. OMG help."

She captioned the video: "Yes it's permanent.

"Currently in the process of having it removed #tattooeyeliner #botched."

Unfortunately for Abby, one of the comments on her video read: "Ha ha I did the same .. 8 years later & it’s still on."

Having permanent eyeliner involves using a tattooing technique to apply ink along the lashline to create the appearance of eyeliner.

It usually lasts between eight and 18 months, but a "touch up" is recommended after 12 months – when the pigment starts to fade.
