The family explained: “To make a long story short – a mixture of regret of time lost, a health scare, and covid made our family seriously reconsider who we are.

“We began to rethink what we're doing with our lives and why we're doing it.

“We quickly concluded that we wanted to reorganise our priorities and make the most of the time we had left with our kids home.

The family’s 35 foot van is equipped with four bedrooms, a huge lounge area with a comfy grey sofa and a glamorous kitchen space with lots of cupboard space and a kitchen table.

It is a very modern van and in a recent video uploaded to TikTok, the family detailed the costs of living full-time in a van.

Tiffany said: “Finally, the long awaited money question.

“I grew up in a family where we do not talk about money, but first of all, I’ve grown since then and second of all, I remember us getting ready to RV and being like ‘how much does it cost?’ and everyone is so allusive about it and now that we’ve been doing it for a while, I do understand it, so let me share it with you”.

Tiffany revealed that with the family’s previous home, their mortgage alone was $1,800 [£1,592] and electric was $200 [£176].

With their gas, mobile phone, internet, car, groceries, gas for vehicles and miscellaneous costs, their monthly total came to $4,542 [£4,019].

But living in the van full-time, the family have managed to make huge monthly savings.

Tiffany explained: “With our RV, our rent is anywhere between $0 and $1,500 – so $1,500 [£1,327] is a very nice resort, tonnes of amenities.

“$0 is we have a Thousand Trails membership so then it would be free for the month.

“Electric is zero, there’s no gas.

“Our [totall, monthly] bills currently are between $2,430 [£2,149] and $3,930 [£3,477].

“You will find people that will say, ‘that $1,500 is insane and you will find people that will say it’s not high enough, but I’m giving you a ballpark.

“If you stay longer at places, it’s cheaper”.
