IT'S the latest Primark dupe that is dividing opinion with shoppers.

The £25 sequins crop top has been a fan favourite with fashionistas who missed out on getting the Zara version last year.



One fashion fan who nabbed the in-demand item was very impressed when she tried it on – and has no idea why people are moaning about the price.

Ellie Butler already owns the Zara crop top, so she knew there was a chance the Primark dupe wouldn't live up to the original.

But she has insisted it is worth every penny.

Posting on her YouTube channel, she said: "I feel like this is going to be something that everybody likes.

"I actually have the Zara one already.

"They’ve recreated the Zara top that went viral. I bought mine last year I think and it sold out literally straight away.

"Now [Primark] have created their own. It’s this sparkly top with white straps and it just clasps at the back."

Ellie – girlfriend of Celtic's Liam Shaw – added: "My Zara one I got in a medium to large because it’s this material, it’s got no stretch. So I went for the medium to large again.

"This was £25. People were quite shocked at the price of it but I think it’s because the Zara one did so well and they know this will definitely sell out. They’d be stupid not to.

It comes after a fellow fashionista was left very disappointed by the viral item.

Kerrie took to TikTok to share a video of herself trying out the top, ahead of a night out with her friends.

However, things didn't start too well, as her boyfriend told her it looked like a "bit of cardboard".
