I blitzed my daughter's dirty room – it's so bad the carpet needs replacing… but everyone's saying the same thing | The Sun

A MUM-OF-TWO has sparked fury online after revealing she cleaned up her daughter’s very messy bedroom.

Snowenne is a professional cleaner and decided to “tackle” her school-aged daughter’s littered and damaged bedroom while she was away on a school trip.

The mess included piles of clothes on the floor, random discarded items and empty wrappers and packets.

“It’s time to tackle my daughter’s dirty room,” Snowenne penned over a video of herself cleaning the space. “She’s off on a school trip and thought it was a good time to tackle it.”

The doting mum picked up loose beads, string, pens and more from the floor.

“My goal is to go through everything and get rid of as much as I can,” she continued. “And to repaint some of her furniture while she waits on her new furniture.

“We are still waiting to replace her carpet. We have the new floor, but still don’t trust her with it.”

The carpet was also littered with stains, spillages and matted clumps of dirt and dust.

“We are hoping by the end of summer to redo her entire room,” Snowenne added. “But only time will tell.”

She cleaned down all the sides and shelves with a Scrub Daddy and The Pink Stuff paste, before giving the desk a fresh lick of white paint.

She also hoovered the carpet and scrubbed the stains out with a specialist solution.

However, her helpful video has caused a stir on social media.

Other mums argued that it’s a bad idea to tidy up your childrens’ rooms as it “teaches them to be lazy”.

“Not in a million years would my mum let my bedroom get in that state in the first place,” one viewer criticised. “How old is the child?”

Snowenne clapped back that “some kids are messier than others”.

“The fact you’re doing this means she will never learn to do it herself,” a second penned.

“If I ever let my room that messy, I would not have a home to return to after,” another viewer said.

This isn’t the first time the professional cleaner, who trades under Snowenne Cleans, has divided opinion for tidying up her daughter’s room.
