How Meghan Markle’s final wardrobe hid secret signs she is 'proud' after Megxit

MEGHAN Markle has officially completed her final few royal engagements and certainly brought her fashion A-game to her last looks.

And according to a stylist, the Duchess of Sussex’s show-stopping outfit choices prove she is “unapologetic” about leaving the royal family.

Fashion expert Lucas Armitage said Meghan’s last UK engagement outfits sent a clear message to fans and the royal family.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, he said: “All the looks this royal tour have enlisted bold colour, it’s unapologetic, it’s loud and proud.

“I feel a new stylist may have been used as it feels like a departure from her more recent looks – Meghan wasn’t going out without having one last fashion hurrah.

“Her final royal wardrobe is also acting like a swansong of fashion highlights, her impeccable style providing a stark reminder of just why we welcomed Meghan with open arms and probably showing us one of the reasons we will miss her as a senior royal, the royal wardrobe.”

The duchess dazzled in the first of her UK engagements at the Endeavour Fund Awards last week, wearing a blue £980 Victoria Beckham dress.

Lucas said of the choice: “Blue is known for conveying loyalty and wisdom. Could this be Meghan displaying she has no regrets over the couple’s recent decision making?

“Choosing Victoria Beckham for this now iconic outing was a smart move, championing a true British icon of style and creating a timeless image that will surely be used as one of the last images of the duo as senior Royals.

Meghan's glam squad for her final looks

Meghan's close friend, make-up artist Daniel Martin, was the genius behind her sleek looks the past week.

Daniel, who also did her wedding day make-up, confirmed they had worked together on Instagram.

He shared photos of her looks this week, and said: "Thanks for letting us play dress up again my love."

He confirmed that he had flown over to the UK for the engagements as a friend of the duchess, and not at the expense of the taxpayer.

“The blue hue feels classic and fresh to perfectly showcase a beautiful yet emotional moment.”

During the event, royal fans gushed over the image of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex beaming at each other in rain.

Lucas added: “When we saw the ‘movie perfect’ image of Megs and Harry in the rain I felt the nation collectively have a sigh of regret over their departure.”

Next Meghan donned a £1,295 floor-length red cape dress by Safiyaa for the Mountbatten Music Festival on Saturday.

Lucas said of the dress: “Perfectly pairing her hue with Harry’s military dress the couple visually showed a united front.

“It’s interesting we see Meghan return to capes as it was also a look that was a go to for her.

“Who can forget when we first saw her sit newly married with the Queen for the first time, cream caped and chic next to the Queen’s bright bold lime look.

“The whole wardrobe, to me, seems to be a love letter, a farewell to her former royal life that’s cleverly displaying her greatest hits of her royal style.”

Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess did their final engagement as senior royals at the Commonwealth Service in London.

For their last event, Meghan wore a green Emilia Wickstead capped, fitted midi dress, estimated to cost around £1,450, and certainly went out with a bang.

Lucas said: “Choosing a designer she has worn several times and creating an impeccable style moment that will live forever, it feels like the Meghan we all fell for; stylish, modern and clean silhouettes in a bold colour.
