A SINGLE mum claims she lies about her age on her dating profile – and gets five times more matches.
Lorrae Carr, 51, puts her age down at 49, saying once women pass their half a century birthday they become “invisible” to men.

Lorrae, from Brisbane, Australia, set up two identical dating profiles, but tweaked the age slightly on one.
She told the Brisbane Times: “Once a woman hits 50 she becomes invisible, I have done an experiment on this to prove it.
"I posted identical photos and profiles, just changed my age by two years and got about five times the amount of responses as my younger self.
"For a long time now I put myself as 49 not 51, because men don't just search in that category and if they do they are in their 60s.”
The mum-of-two, who has two teenage sons, says she’s not trying to be “dishonest”, but just wants to find someone her own age.
She added that a 50th birthday acted as a "mental barrier" to men, who were put off by women over that age.
Despite lying on her profile to land a date, she always comes clean about her real age after meeting up, adding she feels "guilty" about her deception.

Lorrae said there isn’t a “shortage of men” out there, but most people have more baggage the older they are, and it was hard to find a “quality” bloke.
She added that most men her age are looking for casual partners or for people a decade younger than them, and good men were like “finding a unicorn”.
Despite not having much luck with online dating Lorrae said she was "jaded but still hopeful".
