Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have taken their four royal children, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine to Australia for Christmas this year. Born in Hobart, Tasmania, Mary has not visited Australia for Christmas in some time, making this year’s trip all the more special.

A sweet photo of Frederik and Mary with their children has been shared on the Danish royal Instagram account, with the family sat on a wall in front of an impressive beachy background in the snap.

The accompanying translated caption read: “Merry Christmas from “Down Under” – where we celebrate Christmas in Tasmania.

“Here it is neither frostbite nor just trees but summer and warm weather.”

Mary opted for a pink Kaleidoscope Midi Dress by Zimmermann for the snap which she has worn before.

The dress previously retailed for £1,350, but at the time of writing, it was reduced on the Zimmerman website to £1,015.

The dress features beaded accents along the neckline, sleeves and hemline, and also benefits from structured puffed shoulders and a waist-cinching belt.

She styled her long hair down with some beachy waves and accessorised with dainty necklaces and earrings.

Royal watchers have taken to Twitter to give their verdict on the latest photo of the Crown Prince family, and Mary’s dress has won significant approval.

@theladywallace said: “Gorgeous new snap of Denmark’s Crown Prince family enjoying their Christmas holidays in Tasmania, with Crown Princess Mary choosing to wear a dress by Zimmermann, the perfect choice to honour the country of her birth”.

The dress description online reads: “The Kaleidoscope Midi Dress Pink Floral from our Fall 2022 Collection, Stargazer.

“A silk linen organza midi dress featuring a beaded trim and a self covered belt.”

Princess Isabella followed her mother’s lead with another Zimmermann dress in the photo, opting for the Jude Scallop Midi Dress from the brand.

The floral dress retails for £490 on the Zimmermann website, down from £650.

The dress’ description reads: “The Jude Scallop Midi Dress in Peach Gradient Floral from our Summer Swim 2022 Collection.

“A linen midi dress featuring waist cut outs, side seam pockets and embroidered scalloped edging throughout.”

For a modern twist on a smart outfit, Isabella wore a pair of Stan Smith’s in white and green from Adidas.

Princess Josephine wore a pale blue dress by the American beach brand Hollister Co.

Like her fashionable mum, Josephine also wore thin dainty necklaces and a bracelet.

Princes Christian and Vincent kept things casual wearing shorts and long-sleeved shirts and trainers.

Like his eldest son, Crown Prince Frederik wore a blue shirt, but he paired his with long chinos and a pair of matching beige trainers.
