Bridezilla kicks wedding guest out for 'showing off' and wearing his military uniform during the reception

AS far as weddings go, it's pretty much a universal truth that all eyes should be on the bride.

However, one fuming bridezilla has revealed actually kicked one of her guests out of their wedding because they were "showing off" by wearing their military uniform.

Posting on Reddit's "Am I The A***** forum", the newlywed wrote: "The son of one of my husband's family friends showed up to my wedding in his marines formal wear, complete with all his medals.

"Now I have nothing against anyone in the military but this was a black tie optional wedding and frankly it felt very out of place and it seemed like he was just trying to show off."

Having invited over 300 guests to celebrate her special day, the bride fumed: "Nobody else felt the need to wear something to make them stand out."

Upset with how the veteran was taking attention away from her on her big day and even posing for photos with "a few excited teenage girls", the woman added: "Many people were thanking him for his service.

"Frankly it just felt like the only reason he wore that was to be in the spotlight and make it about him which I don't think you are supposed to do at someone else's wedding."

Insisting that "the whole point of having a dress code is so that no one guest will stand out too much", the bride concluded: "I felt that he should have known this, since the whole point of uniforms in the military is so that you don't stand out from everyone else!

"I felt kind of bad asking him to leave but it just didn't feel right for him to be there like that."

However while fellow users have acknowledged the bride had a right to be upset, some said she overreacted by kicking him out of the reception.

A former army sergeant wrote: "You have to be a special kind of a***** to wear it to a non-military wedding without specific permission of the couple.

"He was rude, no question. But kicking him out of the wedding was a bit much."

Insisting that the bride was in the wrong, another wrote: "Over 300 people there, the guy is in military formalwear and was very well mannered

"No question, you're over-dramatic and self-centred."

Jumping to the defence of the bride's actions, a third wrote: "White dresses can also be considered formal wear but you don't wear a white dress as guest to a wedding. This guy was screaming for attention."

Another added: "As a veteran, I can tell you that anyone who tries it in this situation is going to get the stink-eye from anyone whose ever served. This reeks of 'thank me for my service.'"

For more wedding horror stories, this bridezilla has been slammed for moaning about her cancer-stricken maid of honour "not taking part" in any activities.

And another bride revealed she wants to DUMP her best friend from the wedding party because she won't lose weight for the photos.

Plus this bridezilla has been blasted for expecting her sister to help pay for the wedding cake and photographer.
