Are you a supporter or an influencer? This is what how you put on your BRA says about you

But while it may be an unconscious habit, how you put your bra on could reveal something about your personality.

Body language and human behaviour expert Patti wood has revealed there are four dominant ways of putting on your bra.

These are wearing a back clasp bra and doing it up behind you, wearing a back clasp bra which you clasp in front of you then swivel round, clasping it then putting it on over your head and a front clasp bra.

She told Redbook these different styles reveal if you’re a driver, influencer, supporter, and careful corrector.

Find out which category you fall into, and what it says about you.

If you wear a back clasp bra and do it up behind you

Patti explains this style means you’re a supporter.

But it also probably means this is how a mum, older sister or aunt wore it.

The supporters are traditional and tend to stick to a pattern.

You’re prepared and organised, but also up for a laugh or a girly night out or in.

If you use a front clasp bra

These may be less rare, but they’re certainly not extinct.

Patti says women who use this style are a driver.

You seize every opportunity and don’t let an opening pass you by.

This style bra is a no-nonsense, quick and efficient way to get your bra on and get on with your day.

If you’re wearing this style, it probably means you invest a bit more in your wardrobe too.

You are sure of yourself, make smart decisions and ooze confidence.

If you put it on over your head

Patti says these people are the careful correctors.

If you want something done, you do it yourself as that way you know it’s going to be a good job.

She explains this is why you clasp your bra first – so you know exactly where it is – then put it on.

But if you do it this, it means you’re shy and like to get dressed in privacy.

You also  shun attention, and like to shop solo.

It can mean you’re probably wearing the correct size bra, though you favour practicality over anything flamboyant.

If you clasp your bra at the front and swivel it round

Patti says this means you’re an influencer.

You project yourself well in whatever you do, whether that’s being at home, at work or in public.

But you need to feel as if you’re in control of the situation with a strong support network.

Women who use this style are also more likely to have a range of nice bras in many different styles and colours.

Doing it up this way means there’s no room for error and you can easily adjust your straps if necessary.

Did you know wearing the wrong size bra isn’t just uncomfy – it could be ruining our health.

And Victoria’s Secret model Josephine Skriver says you should get fitted for a new bra every six months.

Plus these ladies get a lift from bra-fitting after wearing the wrong size for years.
