Talk about a whirlwind romance. Actress Zooey Deschanel and Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott have been getting hot and heavy since October 2019. They haven’t been shy about sharing their love with their fans.
The pair have celebrated Halloween together, attended Scott’s brother’s wedding as a couple, and brought in the New Year in each other’s arms. Honestly, with so much happening in the world, it’s been delightful to watch these two fall in love.
Though they’ve both been in past public relationships that didn’t work out, it’s lovely to see that these two are going all in.

The New Girl alum and the Property Brothers co-host had a very Hollywood meet-cute that was facilitated by the illustrious James Corden. In September 2019, both Deschanel and Scott met on the set of Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
The episode was supposed to be an adorable sibling highlight since the actress was joined by her Emily Deschanel, and Scott’s twin brother, Drew Scott was also present. However, sparks flew between the duo. “It’s sometimes a little weird when you just get thrust on camera with people you’ve never met before, but we just clicked,” Scott revealed.
Scott and Deschanel bonded over their shared love of music, and the timing was just perfect. Scott had been single for a year, and the actress had recently announced her divorce.

He told Hollywood Life, “It was amazing to have her there, to start with, and then to actually get the chance to see this woman that my brother is head over heels for…is wonderful. “ It looks like Scott thinks Deschanel is “The One.”
Apparently, his feelings aren’t one-sided. “Zooey is still taking things slow with Jonathan,” an insider told Hollywood Life in November 2019. “However, she wasn’t expecting to like him as much as she has. He’s very different from any other guys she’s dated before, which makes it fun and exciting. He’s very, very good to her, and she loves that he’s so kind and compassionate and treats her well. She seems open to marriage and kids again with the right person, but it’s still so new, she’s not letting it go there.”
However, it looks like things may have progressed even further in the New Year.

On Jan. 5 — Deschanel shared an adorable photo of herself and Scott, captioning the photo “One more with my one and only prom date @mrsilverscott ❤️.” Scott replied to the photo saying, “May I have this…and all future dances?”
Obviously fans lost their minds. One fan said, “@mrsilverscott sounds like a proposal to me idk …. 🤔.” Another asked, ” did you just get engaged?” Yet another fan demanded, “@mrsilverscott Marry her! STAT! 💍”
Things got even more insane when Deschanel responded, “Yes! Can’t wait. You’re my favorite dance partner.” This is adorable.
