Zooey Deschanel and Jacob Pechenik have split.
The 39-year-old actress and the 47-year-old film producer wed four years ago and have two children together, Elsie, four, and Charlie, two.
‘After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners,’ the exes said in a joint statement released on Friday.

They became engaged in January of 2015 and wed in June 2015. Zooey converted to Judaism while she was with Jacob.

It was the One Million backpacks from Baby2Baby, Kawhi Leonard and the L.A. Clippers to students across Los Angeles at 107th Street Elementary in Los Angeles.
The star did not have on her wedding ring as she posed alone in a denim outfit with black flat shoes.
They were last seen together at a public event in May 2018 at a Heal The Bay fundraiser.
And they were last seen together on social media in April of this year on her Instagram account. The two were holding hands and smiling.

‘They’re both very private people and have been focusing on their family, which is why they haven’t said anything before this, but it’s been several months they’ve been separated,’ a source told Hollywood Life.
‘They’e both doing the best they can with co-parenting and are very involved, committed parents and doing the best they can to make the transition smooth.’
Zooey was married to the lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Gibbard, from September 2009 until 2012.
