YouTube star Zoe Sugg has opened up about her first trimester anxiety weeks after sharing a sweet baby bump snap.
The 33-year-old, also known as Zoella, revealed her second pregnancy earlier this month and told her excited fans she’s expecting another baby girl in December.
She and fellow YouTuber Alfie Deyes, 29, who became an item in 2014, already share a two-year-old daughter called Ottilie Rue born in August 2021.
Zoe took to Instagram to share a snap of herself in a grey midi dress as her toddler touched her stomach and captioned it: "Big sister love already kicking in!"
But Zoe has also been sharing a series of more candid photos on her social media documenting her second pregnancy so far in the first trimester diaries which include bad hair days and broken nails.
The vlogger wrote a long post detailing the ups and downs of her pregnancy so far and said: “My anxiety had come crashing down on me between these weeks.
“I had somehow subconsciously got myself into a constant high state of anxiety that I just could not lower, which was causing me to gag over & over every single day over nothing.”
“The fact that my body's response to high levels of anxiety is to wretch feels like a bit of a joke considering I'm an emetephobe but there we go. This coupled with pregnancy symptoms and my phobia felt like living in a bit of a hazy nightmare for a few weeks.”
“I spoke to my therapist,” continues Zoe in the post. “And we made a plan and every day I pushed myself to do the most simple, every day things that I could no longer do. I'd even dread having to go for a wee & downstairs was a no-go zone.”
“It was not good… over time I managed to start lowering my anxiety and doing more and more things without gagging or panicking. (I've talked a lot more in depth about this in my vlog that's going up on Sunday).”
Zoe and Alfie revealed they were expecting baby number two in a black and white video on Instagram and their celeb friends were quick to congratulate them.
