Wendy Williams spotted leaving sober house after candid admission

Wendy Williams was spotted leaving her sober living facility in Queens on Wednesday morning, just one day after revealing to fans that she has been staying there to treat her addiction issues.

Dressed as lavishly as ever in a Moncler Caille animal-print puffer coat ($1,950) and accessorizing with a yellow crocodile Fendi Large by the Way bag, 54-year-old Williams made her way into a Mercedes to head to her eponymous morning show. On Tuesday, Williams said her sober coach drives her to and from her daily activities.

“After I finish my appointments … I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family,” she shared. ” … We talk and read and talk and read and then I get bored with them. Doors locked by 10 p.m., lights out by 10 p.m., so I go to my room and stare at the ceiling and fall asleep to come here and see you.

“So that is my truth.”

Celebrities came forward on social media to laud Williams for her honesty, saying that her revelation will help others seek the treatment they need. Other stars talked about their own experiences with addiction and thanked Williams for speaking her “truth” on national TV.

“Addiction has plagued myself and my family for my whole life and I’m just so grateful that she’s sharing her story to help combat the shame of addiction,” comedian Whitney Cummings tweeted. “This is a disease that discriminates against nobody.”

Williams’ candid admission came after her return from a two-month hiatus from taping her show. She said she had been hospitalized to treat symptoms of her Graves’ disease, though there had been rumors she was dealing with her husband’s alleged infidelity. During her revelation on air Tuesday, she didn’t officially say she had relapsed.
