Shock: Ulrika Jonsson has slammed Steve-O for ghosting Stacey Solomon after a six-month romance

Reflecting on the relationship in his new book, A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I’ve Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions, he said he was ‘still beating myself up’ for how they ended.

In response, Ulrika wrote in The Sun: ‘I was pretty horrified to think that this kind of behaviour went on. Stacey was with this man for six months.

‘She would have got to know his family and her two sons, Leighton and Zachary. I can only imagine how baffled, confused, heartbroken and angry Stacey must have been.

‘Because the thing about just disappearing – extracting yourself from someone’s life in that way – is that instead of drawing a line under things, it throws up more questions.

‘Stacey won’t have been the first and she won’t be the last, it’s quite the way to do things nowadays.’

Ulrika then went on to share her own experiences of being ghosted, saying she was left ‘baffled’ when someone she had been on a date with just ‘disappeared’.

Unlikely couple Stacey and Steve-O met whilst appearing on TV show The Jump in 2015, but were revealed to have parted ways just six months later, with Stacey left ‘really hurt’ by the situation.

In his book, The Sun reports that Steve-O shared details of the relationship – showing remorse for the way it was handled.

He admitted that despite being ‘smitten’ with Stacey, he quickly ghosted her, despite meeting her at-the-time two young children, Leighton and Zachery.

‘I was smitten, I lavished her with attention, I got what I wanted and then I broke it off. I had become not only part of her life, I’d become part of her kids’ lives too. And then — poof — I was gone,’ penned the Jackass star.

Continuing: ‘To this day, I still beat myself up about the way it went down.’

The TV star, who was battling sex addiction at the time, reflected on his ‘self sabotage’ relationship structure, which followed on from struggles with alcohol and drugs too.

But while Steve-O is holding himself to account for the actions, it appears Stacey doesn’t have any bad blood, as he continued that she appears to have no ill feelings towards him.

At the time, Stacey shared that she was ‘still trying to figure out’ what went wrong as she was probed on the reason for their break-up.

While her representative told MailOnline at the time: ‘I can confirm Stacey and Steve-O are no longer together. Stacey is really hurt by the whole situation, and it’s not something she feels able to talk about at this moment in time.’

But the heartbreak seems to have worked out for the best in the long run, with Stacey tying the knot with husband Joe Swash earlier this year, and the pair welcoming their youngest children Rex and Rose.

While things have lifted upwards for Steve-O too, who is now engaged to stylist Lux Wright.
