However, U2 bassist Adam Clayton, 61, looked unrecognisable as he stepped out in London.
The guitarist’s new look came as a stark contrast to how his fans will remember, with Adam swapping his typically short locks for long hair and a beard.

In recent years, Adam has embraced his greying locks but typically styled them in punkish spikes.
The international star opted for a more mature look for his outing and looked dapper in a stylish grey fleece coat as he nipped out to run errands in the city.
U2 celebrated the 30th anniversary of Achtung Baby last month, but their focus is on the future as they continue to work on a follow-up to 2017’s Songs of Experience.

Earlier this month, Adam confirmed that the Dublin band hope to release a new album in 2023 and tour – Covid permitting.
His bandmate the Edge told Rolling Stone magazine they were working with each other on a new song idea.
He said: ‘We are firmly locked in the tower of song and working away on a bunch of new things,’ the guitarist says, noting that they’re still in the very early stages of the process.

‘I’m just having so much fun writing and not necessarily having to think about where it’s going to go.
‘It’s more more about enjoying the experience of writing and having no expectations or limitations on the process.’
U2’s most recent album, 2016 Songs of Experience, topped the UK and American chart but failed to produce any hits.
The band toured the album in 2018 grossing $128m (€113m) with nearly a million tickets sold.
