What is happening to TV? Does everything have to be Game Of Thrones and kill everyone off??
Modern Family is apparently mining comedy (and big drama) for its 10th season from tragedy; there’s going to be a death in the family!
Co-creator Christopher Lloyd tells EW:
“We’re handling some bigger life events in this season. We do deal with a death, which is certainly a topic that families have to deal with, and on television, it’s not easy to do because that’s a heavy subject. But at the same time, it would seem unusual for a family not to go through it.”
Except that it’s TV. We can suspend our disbelief!
Lloyd won’t reveal who will be making their final Emmy run on the award-winning sitcom, but does say it’s “a significant character” whose passing “will be a moving event — and an event that has repercussions across several episodes.”
If it’s Cam, we riot. Right?
