On the heels of divorce rumors between Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling, RadarOnline.com exclusively learned the deadbeat dad is attempting to reinvent himself as a full-time professional MMA fighter!
The father-of-six has developed an “obsession” with cage fighting, says a source — and he’s looking to turn it into a full-time career.
McDermott, 51, was ready to get back into shape as his marriage to Spelling, 45, allegedly crumbled. “Dean’s weight has yo-yoed a lot over the years but now he’s putting in serious time at a private MMA gym in San Fernando Valley to transform his physique.”

But he wasn’t willing to give up his love of fine dining. Added a source: “Dean isn’t into the dieting side of things, but he’s spent months learning the finer points of MMA fighting and training like a man possessed.”
“He says it’s really changed his life for the better, so Tori and the kids are tolerating it,” snitch the pal.
The reality star had big aspirations for his new venture. “Dean may be twice the age of most of the guys he’s sparring with, but he’s working at it every day and the next step is fighting in front of a crowd!”

As Radar exclusively reported, McDermott left home in July to film a new project in Canada just four months after his wife’s public breakdown.
Meanwhile, Spelling attended numerous industry events and family outings alone with their five children.
In March, cops were called to the couple’s home twice in a week for “well-being” checks on Spelling.

An insider told Radar at the time the pair had been at each other’s throats for months, arguing over their serious money woes, parenting, and the actress’ persistent health issues.
“Tori and Dean have been sleeping in separate bedrooms for the past six weeks,” a family insider told Radar in the spring. “Things have been very bad at home between them.”
“Tori’s behavior has sent him to a breaking point.”
