Tom Jones looks relaxed and happy as he soaks up sun in Cannes ahead of performance

The Voice UK judge, 80, showed off his torso as he topped up his tan at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc during the 72nd Cannes Film Festival. One snap showed Tom leaning against the rocks wearing dark trousers with a black shirt slung over his shoulders. He accessorised with a gold chain and hooked a pair of sunglasses on another necklace. Tom later removed the shirt to lounge topless in the sun, shielding his head beneath a baseball cap worn backwards.

Tom is set to perform at the AmfAR Gala at the hotel tonight.

The star-studded bash will feature sets from Dua Lipa, 23, and Tom, as well as superstar Mariah Carey, 49.

Actor and comedian Chris Tucker, 47, is hosting the event, with guests set to include model Alessandra Ambrosio, 38, actor Willem Dafoe, 63, and Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton, 34.

Meanwhile, Tom also shared a picture of his day in the sun with his 595,000 Twitter followers.

The photo showed him beaming for the camera as he sat by the hotel pool.

“In beautiful Cannes, supporting the marvellous work of @amfAR,” he said.

“Looking forward to performing at #amfAR’s annual gala tonight alongside @mariahcarey @dualipa @thestruts.”

Fans of the Welsh singer took to the comments section, with one praising: “Looking great!”

“Great photo,” another added. “Wish I was there.”

“Looks like a beautiful spot, it’s nice to see you have a moment to enjoy yourself,” a third chipped in. “Have a great evening.”

The Delilah and Sex Bomb hitmaker recently completed his tour of the US and is set to bring the live show to the UK and Europe over summer.

“In beautiful Cannes, supporting the marvellous work of @amfAR,” he said.

Last year, he was forced to cancel several shows due to ill-health.

At the time, he told The Mirror: “I was on the road and when we got to London, I was feeling weak.

“I wasn’t getting so goof and they said, ‘You had better get checked, your blood and everything.’”

The popstar said he had “everything checked” and found out he had a viral infection.

He was treated with intravenous antibiotics and has to postpone several performances while he recovered.
