Tom Brady appeared to have his divorce fresh on his mind on Valentine’s Day as he shared a cryptic post declaring ‘love is not a transaction’ – four months after his split from Gisele Bundchen.
The NFL icon, 45, who recently retired from the sport, shared a post on Tuesday, which read: ‘Love is not a transaction, it is a certain exuberance and sweetness of your emotion’ – while his ex Gisele, 42, merely posted snaps of her dogs.
The posts came in stark contrast to their 2022 Valentine’s Day posts which saw the supermodel share smitten snaps of the pair and gush: ‘Happy Valentines day hubby! Hope you like your gift. Let’s grow some love and make the world greener! Te amo.’
While Tom posted a photo of the pair enjoying a kiss on the beach, captioned; ‘Happy valentines day Lovvvey .’
Tom also shared photos of his children, son Jack, 15, whose mother is Bridget Moynahan, and the kids he shares with Gisele, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10, writing ‘true love’, ‘the sweetest’ and ‘HVD’.

Gisele looked radiant as she shared cute snaps with her pet dogs, writing: ‘Pure love!! I am convinced they are little angels on Earth. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!’
This comes after Tom stripped down to his underwear and shared a very revealing photo to Instagram – and one week after Gisele also flaunted her body while posing up a storm in a skimpy bathing suit for a beach-side photoshoot.
The football star took a page from his ex-wife’s book, sharing a nearly-naked image to his Instagram Stories and Twitter account while promoting his underwear line.
The athlete wore nothing but a pair of tight, brown fitted underwear as he showed off his incredibly toned abs.
He sat on the edge of an unmade bed with his legs open towards the camera.
The eye-catching snap is unlike anything Tom has ever shared before – and it quickly caused a stir on social media.
It left many people on the web shocked, some of whom branded it as a ‘thirst trap’ and others who joked that he had gone ‘rogue’ since quitting football.
‘Tom’s been retired one week and already starting an [OnlyFans],’ wrote one Twitter user.

‘If this is what retirement gonna make us have to endure from you then I expect to see you at training camp,’ a different person tweeted.
Another wrote: ‘Bro retired and is gonna go rogue now.’
Tom shared the snap in response to a ‘deal’ he had made with his clothing company, Brady Brand, which sells shirts, slacks, and underwear.
Back in June 2022, he tweeted that if his post got at least 40,000 likes, he would ‘recreate’ an ad that the brand had shared promoting a set of boxer-briefs.
And when the apparel line reminded him of his promise on February 6, he responded with the sultry snap.
‘Did I do it right?’ he captioned it, while tagging footballers Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, who have also posed in their underwear recently.

Tom announced his retirement from the NFL early on Wednesday morning via a social media video.
He previously shared plans to step away from the game last year, but changed his mind just 40 days later and agreed to play another season for the team. But now, he has insisted that he’s done with the sport ‘for good.’
Soon after making the announcement, he shared several throwback photos to Instagram while reminiscing about his time in the NFL, including two images that included his former wife, Gisele – which could be a signal that he is on good terms with the supermodel.
She also wished Tom well on social media, writing that she hopes he will enjoy his next chapter after football.
‘Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,’ she said.
Like Tom, Gisele has also been showing off her body in recent weeks. She was seen posing in a pink swimsuit during a sizzling beach photoshoot on January 31, and a few days prior to that, she donned a cheeky purple bathing suit.
This comes after it was claimed Tom consulted ex-wife Gisele on his decision to retire (again) from the NFL, according to a new report.
Brady announced he was ending his career for a second time on February 1, posting a brief Instagram video that said this retirement was ‘for good after unretiring last year.
And according to US Weekly, Brady ‘talked this through’ with Bundchen before coming to a final decision.
The publication quoted an anonymous source that said the quarterback’s ex had been a ‘real rock’ to him throughout the process, and noted the co-parents are on ‘cordial terms.’
The post comes days after it was reported that Tom, who confirmed he and Gisele were divorcing back in October, had no interest in dating following the split

Brady had retired following the 2021 season – his second with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – but changed his mind shortly after to return to the sport.
That decision reportedly caused massive friction between Brady and Bundchen, leading to the eventual end of their relationship.
Bundchen, however, classily congratulated her ex-husband on his retirement earlier this month,
‘Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,’ she commented on his retirement video, which was posted to Instagram.
