However, it appears the pro dancer has removed all trace of her supportive comment on social media, since the pictures emerged and hasn’t added any further posts about her boyfriend’s appearance on the show.

Instead the 23-year-old, who is based in Germany, wrote on Wednesday: ‘Stop complaining so much over things you can’t change or control’ and ‘Overthinking never lead me anywhere good…;

A source told The Sun: ‘Tilly’s dad did warn her, “Don’t date any of those dancers”.’

‘Nicole’s “overthinking” might well be fuelled by all the speculation going on online among viewers who can see an amazing partnership developing between Nikita and Tilly’.

‘Nikita was first and waited outside before Tilly arrived a few minutes later. They were grinning from ear-to-ear, chatting and laughing,’ an onlooker told The Sun at the time.

‘They looked very comfortable in each other’s company, quite flirty. There is a clear physical chemistry. After strolling to the door they headed inside and stayed all evening.’

Nikita has been in a relationship with dancer Nicole since 2016.

Another show insider said: ‘It’s no secret that Tilly and Nikita have hit it off really well. A lot of the older cast and crew think they’re really cute.’

The pair left Tilly’s mother Tana in tears on Saturday. She was spotted wiping her eyes after watching her daughter dance, while her husband Gordon wished Tilly ‘good luck’ on Instagram.

Tess Daly told Tilly after the dance: ‘That was mesmerising! You’re the sweetest. I know you were nervous but you definitely didn’t look it. And I think you’ve got a very proud mum in the audience – she’s crying!’

New judge and longest running professional dancer Anton Du Beke was impressed by her performance and dubbed it ‘gentle, romantic, and sophisticated.’

Craig Revel Horwood, however, thought different and said of the dance: ‘It lacked for me expression in the arms, but you told a very sweet story and it was believable and I appreciated that.’

Motsi Mabuse simply said: ‘You’re off to a super start’ while Shirley Ballas noted: ‘I enjoyed the very small details, it was poised it was extremely mature, as with the footwork I don’t know I’m looking at the same thing as I’m looking at and I thought you did a majority of the heel correctly. A job well done.’
