Rochelle Humes calls Davina McCall her ‘spirit animal’ as they present This Morning together for the first time… before the pair are replaced by ‘mini-me’ versions of themselves
Davina McCall and Rochelle Humes were replaced by miniature versions of themselves after ‘wishing to be small’ as they co-hosted This Morning for the first time on Friday.
The two friends were paying tribute to the happy news that 80s comedy classic Big has been turned into an extravagant West End musical with Kimberley Walsh and Matthew Kelly, both guests on Friday’s show.
Joined in the ITV studio by Zoltar’s legendary fortune telling fairground machine – a double of the one famously used in the 1988 film – Davina pulled one of its ‘magical’ tickets as proceedings got underway.

‘We wish to be small,’ said the pair – and in a puff of studio smoke their mini-me lookalikes, complete with identical outfits, were revealed.
‘Oh wow, we’re small again!’ announced mini-Davina, to which mini-Rochelle responded: ‘Yes, let’s get on with the show.’
Returning to the screen moments later, Rochelle said: ‘Well, I mean, that was nice. Not a care in the world… we also read a lot better!’

Davina, who later joined Rochelle for a backstage snap with the two children, added: ‘We were cute!’
The skit came after Rochelle, 30, admitted she was thrilled to be presenting This Morning alongside her co-host while show regulars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby continue their overseas holiday.
‘I’m joined by Davina McCall and I’m so excited,’ she said, hugging the 51-year old. ‘I’m so looking forward to it, I’ve found my spirit animal.’

Say cheese: The two presenters posed with their doubles backstage at ITV studios
With the show underway, the pair soon rolled up their sleeves for an obligatory cooking segment, during which Davina treated Rochelle to her homemade chili con carne.
But there was unintentional hilarity when the presenter struggled to pronounce oregano, before confusing the word with origami – the Japanese art of paper folding.
A similar struggle ensued with her pronunciation of chipotle after the seasoned presenter mistakenly called the spicy Mexican condiment ‘Chip-ottel.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV1.
