This Morning bosses are SLAMMED by viewers after ‘heartbreaking’ segment is closely followed by swimwear-clad Lisa Snowdon clip

This Morning came under fire on Tuesday when a heartbreaking segment about a historic interview was swiftly followed by a clip about the Maldives.

Disgruntled viewers took to Twitter in the midst of the episode to blast the ‘insensitive’ timing of the Lisa Snowdon-fronted holiday clip, in which the presenter was swimsuit-clad on a paddleboard.

Some of the messages included one note from a fan reading: ‘Ok that is disrespectful no worries guys we’ve just shown you heartbreaking stories… but welcome to the Maldives straight away #thismorning.’

As the show rings in its 30th birthday, a throwback clip was shown in which a heartbreaking interview saw a weeping woman.

Looking downcast, Phil turned to the camera after to say: ‘Thank you to everyone who has trusted their story with us’, before instantly stating: ‘It’s cometition time’.

Saddening: The interview was hard-hitting yet followed with a fun clip

‘Feels a bit insensitive to go straight to a competition after that… A lovely moment ruined on This Morning by handing over to the competition and Snowdon shaking her t*ts at the camera… Well timed competition promo there. ‘

With the show’s 30-year anniversary celebrations continuing all week, the presenters watched amusing old footage of Phillip and former co-host Fern Britton struggling to contain their laughter while interviewing a man who made objects out of biscuits.

‘I could see you so hard trying not to laugh,’ Holly told Phillip, who wiped away tears of laughter after watching the footage back.

‘It’s one thing laughing about it, it’s another thing when the person you have to interview is right there,’ he added.
