The ‘Live Playoffs’ bring a marathon of performances on ‘The Voice’! Tonight’s episode consisted of 24 performances, with only 13 artists moving on! — Check out our recap!
The competition is getting down to the wire on The Voice! Tonight’s episode (November 12) marks the fourth round of the competition — The Live Playoffs, meaning this is the first time they are singing LIVE for their coaches. This portion of the competition will include 24 straight performances during Monday’s show. After tonight, only 13 contestants from Team Blake, Team Kelly, Team Adam and Team J. Hud will make it past this round.
Here’s how the Live Playoffs work: During the Playoffs, 24 artists (six per team) will perform against each other for a spot in the Live Performance Shows. Each contestant chooses their own song and performs individually. Then, the top two artists who get the most votes on each team automatically advance. To fill the final position on their team, each coach selects one of their remaining artists to move on to the final phase of the competition.
Host, Carson Daly is going to speed through performance after performance tonight since there are 24 to get through. But, remember, only 13 artists will move on after tonight. Team Blake will kick things off. — Check out our recap!
TEAM BLAKE
Michael Lee — He performs “Every time I Roll The Dice” with his guitar.
Dave Fenley — The Oregon singer performs “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground” with his guitar.
Natasha Greyhound — The soul singer, who Blake stole from Jennifer, performs “God Is A Woman”. Natasha’s pretty good, but it’s also hard to perform an Ariana Grande song. But, she did hit a great note at the end that could have sent her to the top of the leader board.
Chris Kroeze — The country rocker from Wisconsin performs “Have You Ever Seen The Rain,” also incorporating his guitar, along with a full band.
Funsho — The Maryland R&B singer from Nigeria performs Charlie Puth’s “How Long” on the guitar. Out of Blake’s entire team, Funsho had the best performance. He hit crazy high notes, and had a performance that was different from the rest of the country/rock singers.
Kirk Jay — Alabama country singer performs “One More Day”

TEAM KELLY
Abby Cates — The 17-year-old pop singer form Cincinnati performs “Next To You” and she did not disappoint.
Keith Paluso — He performs an acoustic, raspy version of Adele’s “Someone Like You”.
Sarah Grace — She sings and emotional rendition “When Something Is Wrong With My Baby”, while playing the piano. There is just something so mature an powerful about Sarah’s voice. She absolutely nailed it!
Zaxai — The soul singer performs a beautiful, touching version of “When I Need You”. His voice is absolutely incredible, soulful .. almost like he gives you a Bruno Mars effect.
Chevel Shephard — 16-year-old country singer from New Mexico performs “Grandpa, Tell Me About The Good Old Days”.
Kymberli Joye — Connecticut powerhouse puts her own spin on “Radio Active” by Imagine Dragons and the risk was worth it! She brought the entire building to their feet with her big ending!
TEAM ADAM
Steve Memmolo — The Boston pop singer performs “More Today Than Yesterday”. His stage presence is so upbeat and on point. Steve’s performance reminds me of a Frank Sinatra in certain ways.
DeAndre Nico — He’s a major threat in this competition. Remember, the Texas soul singer got a 4-chair turn during the Blinds. He sings and emotional rendition of “Ordinary People”.
Kameron Marlowe — The North Carolina country singer, that Adam actually stole from Blake, performs “I Ain’t Livin Long Like This”.
Tyke James — The 18-year-old surfer and urban pop singer sings “Use Somebody”. He had the perfect song choice for his raspy, wide range. He completely nailed this performance!
Reagan Strange — The young powerhouse performs “Worth It” and ends Team Adam with a near flawless performance.

TEAM J. HUD
Patrique Forston — The Atlanta soul singer performs “Ain’t Know Body” and lights up the place with his energy. It was a good performance overall, but was it enough?
MaKenzie Thomas — The 21-year-old Kentucky singer performs “I Believe in You & Me” and had thee best vocal performance of the night! She is a strong contender to win this competition after this performance!
Franc West — He sings “Apologize” and has an incredible stage presence. But, his vocal performance wasn’t as impressive this week.
Colton Smith — The music student from Alabama, who Jennifer stole back from Blake, sings Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa’s “Scared To Be Lonely” and owns it with a range of notes that blended so well together.
Kennedy Jones — (In my opinion) she’s the best singer in the competition AND, she’s also the youngest, at 13. The St. Louis native sings Bayonne’s “Halo” and just slays the competition entirely with her mature, powerful Beyonce-level voice. Yeah, I said it. This girl may just take all.
