Her days of saving the world as Doctor Who are finally over.
But Jodie Whittaker appears to be injecting the Time Lord’s kindness into her own life as she was spotted signing copies of The Big Issue.
The magazine, which helps homeless people earn money through work, features the actress on the cover for last week’s edition.
Sporting jeans, an ochre jacket, trainers and a patterned bag, Miss Whittaker, 40, whose final episode as the Doctor aired last night, sat on a doorstep to sign the copies for a seller in London.

The magazine also includes an exit interview with the outgoing Doctor, who revealed that Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa – who until last night’s episode was thought to be lined up as her replacement – ‘doesn’t need any advice’ on the role.
‘It couldn’t be in safer hands. And Ncuti Gatwa doesn’t need any advice from me – he is far more qualified than me,’ she told The Big Issue. ‘I got caught up in the euphoria of it all like everyone else.
‘But that’s the beauty of this job. You get to hand it on. And you get to discover, like a fan, where it is going to go next.’
She added that she was looking forward to watching the show she ‘loves’ without ‘being stressed whether I nail a speech or if anyone can understand my accent’.
Miss Whittaker became the first woman to play the Time Lord when she took over the role from Peter Capaldi in 2017.
In a surprising twist, last night’s show, The Power Of The Doctor, saw Whittaker’s character regenerate into former Doctor David Tennant instead of Gatwa, as expected.
Miss Whittaker has set a record for outlasting more prime ministers than any other actor playing Doctor Who.
