Taylor Swift Is Counting Down To Something

Possibly eschewing the four-year wait between record releases that was the gap between 1989 and Reputation, Taylor Swift has switched out her social media platforms to signal something is coming from her on “4.26.” That’s 13 days from now. It could be a new album. It could be a trailer for future bomb Cats. It could be the Rapture. Please, Jesus, let it be the Rapture so we don’t have to see a trailer for Cats.

People reports that Taylor got her fans all wound up when she switched out her Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pics to “a pastel sky and clouds” and added the April 26 date to her bios at midnight last night. She’s also got a countdown clock counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds til’ doomsday on her website and Instagram Story.

Swifty also put up billboards around the world with an “aprilTwentySix.com” link to her website, hinting at what’s coming. “What’s coming” looks like it might be a cotton candy apocalypse. Yum! If it’s music, it will be her debut on new record label Republic Records/Universal Music Group since dropping Big Machine Label Group as her record company. But there’s a chance it could be a line rhinestone toddler rings for Claire’s because she also posted this:

Then again she did cart around a giant snake named “Karyn” on her last tour…

Oh and Taylor Swift fan reaction was shockingly mixed (that was sarcasm):
