Tara Reid claims she’s fine after bizarre interviews

Tara Reid wants everyone to know that she’s fine in the wake of a string of concerning interviews in support of her new film, “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time.”

“I’d like to thank my fans from the depths of my soul for their continued support, which has made this ‘Sharknado’ my most successful one yet,” she wrote in a statement to People on Wednesday. “We worked harder than ever on this film and also the promotion of the film.”

The negative reaction to the bizarre sit-downs hasn’t been lost on Reid — and neither has the continued support of her fans.

“While it’s unfortunate to see some of the recent negative press following a successful week of promoting and supporting the film, I’m happy to know that my fans continue to stand by me — this is for them!” the 42-year-old wrote.

Late last week, the actress slurred and stumbled her way through two interviews — one with  Channel Nine’s “Today Extra” in Sydney, the other with Fox 5 New York — that had many wondering if she was OK.

Shortly after skipping out on a Build Series talk on Friday, a post appeared on Reid’s official Twitter account saying she’d had to cut short the promotional tour for the TV movie because of “back issues.”

That tweet was soon deleted and on Sunday the actress denied that it came from her and even suggested her account may have been hacked.

“It made no sense, why would I write that?” she said at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles.

Despite that initial burst of confusion, Reid continued to maintain that she is fine in her statement to the magazine.

“I am in great spirits and health and I look forward to my future projects and what’s in store for me next,” she wrote.
