‘They’re smitten!’ Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice ‘is dating Made In Chelsea star Verity Bowditch’ – a month after split from Maura Higgins

Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice is dating Made In Chelsea star Verity Bowditch, according to a new report.

The new romance comes just a month after Giovanni split from Maura Higgins – who is currently on a heartbreak holiday in The Maldives – after a brief relationship.

A source told The Sun: ‘Giovanni has fallen head over heels for Verity.

‘They are smitten. He’s been training really hard, but has made time for her. They’re very sweet together.’

Representatives for Giovanni and Verity have been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

Giovanni has a string of famous exes including Maura, Ashley Roberts, TOWIE’s Jess Wright, fellow dance pro Luba Mushtuk, 32, and former celeb dance partner Georgia May Foote.

Meanwhile Verity has previously dated DJ Cameron Jack as well as fellow MIC stars James Taylor and Tristan Phipps.

Their new romance comes after Maura reportedly joined the celebrity dating app Raya, just one month on from her split with Strictly’s Giovanni.

The Sun reported Maura had joined the exclusive app and was on the rebound after her failed romance with the professional dancer.

A source told the publication: ‘Maura is a stunning girl and has already been bombarded with offers and swipes. She won’t be single for long.’

With a waiting list of 100,000 and strict vetting procedures, Raya is a dating app favoured among celebrities.

MailOnline contacted Maura’s representatives for comment at the time.

Giovanni was previously forced to deny rumours that he had been on Raya while still with Maura, after his profile was discovered.

Insiders told The Sun, Giovanni was active on celebrity dating app Raya as late as October 5th, before his split with the Irish beauty was confirmed.

Heating up: The professional dancer, 31, and the reality star turned entrepreneur, 26, (pictured) have reportedly been enjoying a string of secret meet ups

A source said: ‘Giovanni’s profile was on Raya while he was still very much with Maura. It does not state he is just looking for friendship.

‘It is clearly for dates and it will be another blow to Maura. Gio said he wasn’t actively using the app but it only takes two seconds to delete.’

Despite the allegations, a representative for the star told MailOnline at the time: ‘Giovanni became member of Raya years ago and his original profile remained on the site. He categorically was not using Raya whilst in a relationship.’

The romance between the pair reportedly went sour after days of moving in together with the Irish beauty said to be ‘absolutely devastated.’

Maura’s relationship with Giovanni was her first in the public eye since her split in May with former Love Island co-star Chris Taylor, 31.

Taking to Instagram last month, Giovanni insisted that sometimes ‘great relationships with great people can come to a natural end’ which is what happened with him and Maura.

He wrote: ‘Hey guys – I hope everyone had a great Monday. Going into another wonderful training week – thank you so much for your amazing messages & your support this weekend.

‘I get to live my dream every single day because of you – so thank you, thank you, thank you. I wanted to say a couple of things…

‘Firstly, great relationships with great people can come to a natural end. This has been the case for me recently. There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation.

‘Whilst I respect and understand interest in my personal life, wouldn’t it be fantastic to instead use this space to raise awareness of subjects and issues which need the attention.

‘My eyes have been opened to so many things during my career. But I am learning so much from this series of Strictly.

‘The show has highlighted many important conversations for different communities and increased representation.

‘These are the conversations which deserve the time, energy and recognition. We must concentrate on what’s important and how we can all make a difference in life. Gio x’.
