Craig said: ‘I’m not going to ever be able to watch you on the news again without thinking of that. I felt like I was at a rave!’
Krishnan and his partner Lauren Oakley received a score of 22.

Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice bring the house down with their Viennese waltz
Shirley said: ‘Your fluidity, your sensitivity, your beautiful styling, you have this beautiful chemistry, I loved it.’
Anton advised Amanda to relax a little, saying: ‘It was all great, emotionally exquisite. I want you to breath, if there was another 30 seconds to go I think you may have passed out.’
They received a score of 29.
It's a score of 28 for Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe
Not bad for a first try!
‘I was so prepared to take a lot of criticism but I was overwhelmed by it so thank you,’ she said after praise from the judges.
Bobby and Dianne receive a score of 29 for their foxtrot
Bobby promises Dianne will ‘know his children’ – they’re clearly getting along quite well!
Jeff Brazier became emotional as he watched his son Bobby dance

Craig said: ‘I liked your frame, I loved the storytelling, absolutely fantastic.’
Motsi added: ‘I love the ease in your movement, the way you were sweeping over the floor.’

Anton said: ‘You had a little mistake but generally speaking, a very nice performance.’
Craig added: ‘Presentation needs work but you know what, that was pretty amazing.’
Shirley told the cyclist to ‘work on his confidence.’
They received a score of 21.
It's universal praise for Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola's jive!
Shirley said: ‘I don’t know what’s in the Strictly water and we’re only in week one, that was amazing young lady.’
Anton added: ‘What a performance, well done you.’
They joined Layton and Nikita at top of the leaderboard with a score of 29.
Les Dennis receives a score of 16 for his tango with Nancy Xu
Craig Revel Horwood said: ‘I felt like your feet were stuck to the floor with Velcro. You needed to move further around but you gave it a go.’
But Shirley Ballas insisted he has ‘musicality’.
Les admitted after the dance he suffers from imposter syndrome – we thought he did great!

Craig Revel Horwood said: ‘It was a bit ploddy and wooden, but I can see the intention was there.’
But Shirley Ballas was having none of it and added: ‘Don’t listen to Craig, I don’t think he’s had his dinner darling, you were lovely.’
Zara and Graziano Di Prima received a score of 19.
A standing ovation for Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin's samba!
‘How flexible are your legs? Goodness me!’ Craig said.
‘Don’t you feel like it’s going to be a good year guys?’ Motsi asked the audience following their performance.
They topped the leaderboard with a score of 29.
Was Craig too harsh on Nikita and Gorka?
Some fans certainly seem to think so!
Nikita Kanda and Gorka Marquez receive a score of 21 for their waltz
‘She’s been grafting all week and it pays off,” Gorka said after the pair’s debut performance

The TV presenter, 78, who is this year’s oldest contestant, received a score of 28 for her cha-cha-cha.
Eddie Kadi and Karen Haur gave a 'magnificent' quickstep
Motsi Mabuse added: ‘Your posture, you need to work on that. But honestly, I was entertained from the first step up to the last step.’

Angela has 'a lot of potential' according to Craig Revel Horwood (high praise from him!)
Anton Du Beke added: ‘The drama, the intent, the commitment was magnificent. What I’d like you to do is work on your posture, it gets a little over the top.’
Angela and Carlos received a score of 23.

It's praise all around for Adam and Luba!
“What a way to open the show,” Shirley said.
“There’s so much good going on, well done you,” Anton said.
“Your hips are there, they need a lot more work, but they’re there,” Craig added.
They received a score of 19 points, not bad for their first try!

Amy Dowden has shared her hopes of returning to Strictly Come Dancing in a matter of weeks ahead of the BBC dance contest’s first live show.
The dancer, 33, took to Instagram on Saturday to wish her fellow professionals and the celebrity line-up luck for Saturday’s first live show of the 2023 series.
Amy was expected to miss the new series amid her battle with breast cancer, but she has now shared her hopes that she could rejoin the show in just weeks’ time.
Meanwhile, Strictly also included Amy in its 2023 trailer, which introduces all the couples at the start of every show alongside the recognisable theme music.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Amanda Abbington has passionately hit back at claims that she threatened to quit the show due to clashes with Giovanni Pernice.
The actress, 49, shared a video to Instagram on Saturday, just hours ahead of the first live show, where she rubbished the rumours in a swear-filled rant.
It follows claims Amanda was 'left shaken' by Giovanni's 'militant and aggressive' training style with tensions escalating between the pair.
