Stacey Dooley grins as she breaks cover after Kevin Clifton fling claims

Stacey Dooley laughed and smiled as she broke cover for the first time since those Kevin Clifton rumours.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner was spotted in the US state of Colorado, where she's currently filming for a new BBC Three documentary on bounty hunters.

The 32-year-old journalist was joined by her camera crew as she wore a blue velour tracksuit and black trainers.

Stacey made no reference to Kevin as she put on mascara in the back of a bright pink SUV.

Her appearance comes just days after Kevin Clifton was confronted with an awkward question about his new girlfriend.

On his way back from rehearsals Kevin, 36, was all smiles as he walked back to his hotel alongside fellow performers.

He was more than happy to say that everything with rehearsals was going "great" in the Mail Online video.

However he failed to offer a response when he was asked "will Stacey be making an appearance?" at his Burn the Floor show.

His appearance marks the first time he has emerged since Sam Tucknott claimed that his ex Stacey had moved on with Kevin.

He alleges to have found a receipt for cupcakes Stacey sent to Kevin on the opening night of his new show in Glasgow.

And on April 1, Sam says he discovered a text sent to Stacey by Kevin which read, "I love you."

Kevin, who has gone through three divorces after splitting from fellow pro Karen Clifton in 2017, has yet to confirm or deny the claims.

Just a few weeks ago, Stacey had branded Sam "useless" in an interview about their three-year relationship.

My boyfriend never goes with me, he would be useless," she told The Russell Howard Hour on February 19.

"I sort of get a bit annoyed when he's not crying and sliding down the walls when I leave for these places. I'm like, 'Are you not scared I'm never going to return? Are you not scared you're going to lose the love of your life?'

"And he's like, 'You'll be fine, you'll be back in two weeks moaning about the state of the flat.' And he's right, that's exactly what I do!"

Stacey even confessed that she had to bite her tongue to stop herself arguing with messy Sam about their living conditions.

"I say to myself before I put the key in the door, 'Don't kick off about the state of the flat because it doesn't matter,'" she told Russell.

"I go in, the first thing I say is, 'Have you been busy at work? Is that why the dishes are in the sink?' I'm all passive aggressive.

"He will be like, 'don't start' and that's fair, I think, 'I can't be arsed, I'm too jet lagged, we'll resume this tomorrow!' He contributes in other ways…not like that!"

Throughout her time on Strictly, rumours had been flying about Stacey and Kevin's closeness as they were spending 14 hours a day training together.

And the speculation only heated up when they shared a hidden kiss in front of the cameras at the end of their Street dance routine.

Sam, meanwhile, has blamed Kevin totally for the breakdown of his and Stacey's relationship.

Branding his love rival a "rat" and a "slippery slimy snake", Sam fumed that Kevin wasn't "man enough" to meet him face to face for closure.
