Pete Davidson is reportedly still hurting so much from his split with Ariana Grande that he has, according to sources, decided to “ghost” Ariana, changing his phone numbers and refusing to speak with her. A source told US Weekly that Pete changed the number in an attempt to “distance himself” from the situation.
“He decided to focus on himself. He’s had the matching tattoo[s] that he got with her changed,” US Weekly’s source explained. US Weekly’s sources say that Pete and Ariana “currently are not speaking.”
Pete more or less confirmed that not only had the former couple ended their engagement, but had also split during an appearance at a comedy fundraiser last weekend in Los Angeles.
“This has been a difficult experience for Pete,” the US Weekly’s source said. “[T]he Ariana Grande spotlight and social media were a lot of new pressure for him.”
For Ariana’s part, she does not seem particularly empathetic to Pete at the moment. At the same time Pete is reportedly ghosting her, she has been posting cryptic messages that sound like they are about Pete. The last of these certainly seemed like little bit of shade dressed up as new age advice, when Ariana posted the following sentence:
Be aware of the energy you allow in your space.”
