‘I just miss my family’: Sister Wives star Meri Brown got real about loneliness and her deteriorating marriage to Kody Brown in a new sneak peek for her TLC series

‘As a family we really haven’t spent much time together,’ Meri said of their time in quarantine. ‘And it’s weird.’

‘It’s lonely,’ she continued in a confessional. ‘Like, I live alone… I just miss my family.’

Robyn was in the same boat, feeling lonely and isolated from their usual support group.

‘It’s funny ’cause I actually do feel lonely through COVID. I’m isolated from the rest of the family and from my brothers and sisters and my parents and then my friends too,’ she revealed.

But Janelle said she had been having regular contact with Christine and rarely reached out to Meri.

‘I will say, not as often as I should, I do try and at least text Meri or call her,’ Janelle said. ‘It’s not on the regular, it’s not every week. Christine and I actually interact a lot more via text and phone… like we’ve socially met up during COVID.’

Kody also suspected his three other wives were not inclined to interact with Meri on a regular basis either.

He also admitted he did not speak with her on a daily basis.

‘I always saw one of the main benefits about plural marriage is that anybody in the family would actually suffer real true loneliness. But the way things have played out for our family, that’s not necessarily true,’ Kody said.

‘My relationship with Meri is not the kind of relationship where I’m going to talk with her everyday, and my best guest is her sister wives don’t feel like having interaction with her daily either,’ Kody said.

‘I have hope for more than that’: The reality star said she had a conversation with Kody where they boiled their marriage down to a friendship

Meanwhile, Meri longed for more in her relationship with Kody.

The reality star said she had a conversation with Kody where they boiled their marriage down to a friendship.

She also said they have had conversations which have left her feeling hopeless about their relationship.

Still, she holds out hope things will eventually improve.

‘Kody and I… Oh Kody and I… We had a conversation recently that just kind of came down to that we’re friends, which I guess is a good thing. It’s a good thing… I have hope for more than that,’ she said.

‘Kody has said some things to me more recently that leads me to believe that there’s no repairing our relationship. There are days when I get very, very discouraged. Then there are days that I have so much hope,’ she said in a confessional.

‘If I quit, if I walk away, then it’s not going to get better. I’m not going anywhere. Y’all, you’re stuck with me, where you like it or not.’
