Shep Rose takes heat for mocking ‘camera shy’ woman with bags of cans

Southern Charm star Shep Rose is slammed for mocking a homeless woman and her bag of cans… and the next day he shockingly roasts his own followers

Southern Charm star Shep Rose has drawn furious online criticism for a clip he posted to his Insta Stories in New York.

The 39-year-old TV star was filming a woman who sat on a stool on the sidewalk and covered her face with her hands, repeatedly saying: ‘No!’

‘Look at me, nice cans!’ he called out, then panned to show a few plastic bags filled with soda cans. ‘I mean, the cans you have.’

‘I love double entendres. Yes she was camera shy. But she laughed,’ wrote Shep in white text on top of the video.

Some Twitter users expressed their outrage with the reality star this Monday, and Shep replied defiantly to a few of his critics.

One wrote: ‘was really, REALLY disappointed in that video you posted harassing a homeless woman who clearly did not want to be filmed.’

Shep shot back: ‘Unfollow then. No big deal,’ prompting this same user to write: ‘I’m honestly asking: What about that struck you as funny?’

‘Unfollow then’: Some Twitter users expressed their outrage with the reality star this Monday, and Shep replied defiantly to a few of his critics

He replied: ‘Doesn’t matter. You follow me. You can easily get out of the situation. It’s not a binding contract. I am not responsible for your happiness. If i miss the mark in your mind just keep scrolling.’

One Twitter user went after Shep professionally, tagging Southern Charm’s host network Bravo and its executive Andy Cohen.

‘@BravoTV and @Andy what are you gonna do about that disgusting video your employee @ShepRose posted of him drunkenly harassing a woman on the street? What an embarrassment for the @BravoTV network. Is this realy the kinda behavior you wanna promote? Get him off TV,’ read the tweet.

‘Always get a chuckle when people try to send me to the principles office. I bet you were a scream in high school!’ wrote Shep in response.

Unfazed: In response to: ‘shep is trash pls someone get him off this show @Andy #southerncharm @ShepRose,’ he wrote: ‘And yet here you are following me on all social media’

One Twitter user asked Andy, as well as Southern Charm producer Whitney Sudler-Smith and his mother Patricia Altschul, who appears on the show: ‘Is this Southern Charm?’

The tweet continued: ‘I can understand being drunk & feeling regret but @ShepRose feels none this morning. Cheap way to get “laughs” from followers but there is nothing funny about homelessness. I’m DONE w/ him’.

Shep retorted: ‘Omg. I offended you! Ok. Here’s the plan, sensitivity training 5 times a week. Then intensive therapy (hot yoga?) followed by a public flogging in the town square. Then i move to Siberia and live in an igloo for 4 months. At this point. I think I’ll be cleansed of your disapproval’.

When one Twitter user wrote: ‘shep is trash pls someone get him off this show @Andy #southerncharm @ShepRose,’ Shep replied: ‘And yet here you are following me on all social media. Can you do me a quick “solid” and search my LinkedIn? I want you to have total access.’
