Shania Twain makes rare appearance with husband Frédéric Thiébaud at AMAs… years after her husband ‘Mutt’ left her for Frédéric’s wife

Shania Twain is not seen often with her husband of eight years, the dashing Frédéric Thiébaud.
But the 54-year-old songbird was seen cuddling the 49-year-old Nestlé business executive from Switzerland inside the American Music Awards on Sunday evening.
This comes years after her husband Robert John Lange – whom she was wed to from 1993 until 2010 – took up with Frédéric’s wife Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

Frédéric’s and Marie-Anne divorced after it was discovered that the woman was carrying on an affair with Shania’s first husband Lange, a 71-year-old South African record producer and songwriter whose nickname is ‘Mutt.’
To make the situation even more agonizing, Marie-Anne was the performer’s personal secretary and very close confidante.
Thiebaud and Marie-Anne have a teenage daughter named Johanna together.
She is a year older than Shania and Mutt’s son, Eja, who was born on in 2001.

With Twain and Thiebaud both heartbroken, they turned to each other and formed a strong friendship.
That friendship turned to romance.
They announced their engagement on December 20, 2010 then wed in a small ceremony on January 1, 2011 in Rincón, Puerto Rico.
They reside most of the year in the Swiss town of Corseaux near Lake Geneva but travel when Twain performs.
Shania was radiant when she was on stage at the AMAs.
Twain was surrounded by a fleet of dashing shirtless backup dancers as she delivered the closing performance at show.

The energetic star hit the stage at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles to sing and dance and play a sparkling pink guitar through a medley of hits.
Her setlist included a string of covers of younger artists, from Taylor Swift and Twenty-One Pilots to Drake and Post Malone, before she launched into her own classic numbers.
She selected Shake It Off from Taylor’s catalog, Stressed Out by Twenty-One Pilots and also rapped from God’s Plan by Drake as well as singing Rockstar by Post Malone.
Gearing up for her Vegas residency, Shania made sure not to disappoint her own fans and included her hits Man! I Feel Like A Woman, Any Man Of Mine, You’re Still The One and That Don’t Impress Me Much.
For You’re Still The One, a gentle ballad she originally released in 1997, Shania sat onstage in front of a microphone and accompanied herself on the guitar.
The Canadian singing sensation strutted down the stage during Any Man Of Mine while surrounded by hunky male backup dancers who went shirtless beneath their animal print vests.

They fell to their knees around Shania against a pink and black leopard print backdrop as the singing sensation worked her way through her setlist.
Shania showed off her knockout legs in a pair of tights and amplified the effect with a pair of black high-heeled boots, draping herself in a pink robe covered in frills.
She unleashed her animal instinct on the stage that night, modeling a black and bright orange bodysuit that was distinctly visible beneath her half-open wrap.

When she got to Man! I Feel Like A Woman she was joined by female backup dancers who swept down a massive glittering staircase in a Ziegfeld Follies touch.
Screens lining the back of the stage showed the word ‘SHANIA’ written in gold surrounded by exploding fireworks, among other festive animated designs.
As the performance drew to a close Shania found herself in the company of the show’s host Ciara and best album winner Taylor Swift, who had just taken the gong for artist of the year.
‘With Taylor’s artist of the year award, she just broke the all-time record for AMA wins,’ Ciara pointed out from the stage. ‘Congratulations, Taylor, as all the winners! And give it up again for the legend, Shania!’
The siren was also seen with Diplo as well as Taylor Swift.
