Selling Sunset star Chrishell BREAKS SILENCE on split from Jason

Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, 40, speaks on split from Jason Oppenheim, 44, saying their ‘ideas for family’ diverged: ‘Men have the luxury of time that women don’t’

Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has broken her silence on her split from her boyfriend Jason Oppenheim, who is also her boss at her realty firm.

News broke of their breakup Tuesday just five months after their romance went public, but it is thought that they were an item for a total of seven months.

In an Instagram statement posted this Tuesday Chrishell, 40, attributed the split to ‘our ideas of family ultimately not being aligned,’ pointing out: ‘Men have the luxury of time that women don’t and that’s just the way it goes.’

Jason, 44, confirmed the romance with Chrishell during an Italian holiday with their Selling Sunset co-stars over the summer.

‘I have tried to embrace the world I have found myself in and that includes being open and honest about my relationship,’ her statement began.

‘It felt scary and terrifying knowing that it may not end in what society deems a success and what I am ultimately looking for. But after many long heartfelt talks, I am choosing to see it as a success no matter what label is attached to it publicly.’

She continued. ‘Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward.’

Chrishell, who was once married to This Is Us beefcake Justin Hartley, added: ‘Men have the luxury of time that women don’t and that’s just the way it goes. All of that being said, navigating this public terrain is difficult and I am just trying my best.’

The reality star claimed: ‘No one would rather only speak about work related things more than me. But I understand this comes with it and I will always love and be extremely grateful for the opportunities I have been given,’ she allowed.

‘Although my initial reaction to a private situation was to not speak on it, sometimes it’s easier to just live transparently because we only get one chance at this life. I very much hope to one day have a family and decisions I make at this point are with that goal in mind. Thank you for the kindness and support to those that understand.’

She concluded: ‘And thank you Jason for the most incredible relationship and for consistently being honest with me even when it hurts.’

Her side: ‘I have tried to embrace the world I have found myself in and that includes being open and honest about my relationship,’ her statement began

Her remarks came on the heels of an equally warm statement by Jason who called her ‘the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had’ and said their romance was ‘the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life.’

Jason took the same line as Chrishell about why they broke up, saying that their ‘different wants regarding a family’ were to blame.

He gushed: ‘Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.’

News that they had broken up went public this Tuesday in People magazine which said that they had brought the curtain down on the romance not long before.

That same day an Us Weekly insider said that by the time Chrishell attended the People’s Choice Awards stag on December 7 they had already split up.

To hear the source tell it the Selling Sunset shoot ‘hasn’t been affected by the breakup’ which happened ‘a little while ago.’

Chrishell married Justin in 2017 and then in November 2019 news broke that he had filed for divorce over ‘irreconcilable differences.’

Then on Selling Sunset she tearfully claimed that he informed her of the divorce filing via text and that ’45 minutes later, the world new.’

‘He’s irritated that she’s airing their private information publicly and knows there is more to the story than is being told,’ said an Us Weekly source last August.

Justin tied the knot with Blood And Treasure actress Sofia Pernas just three months after he and Chrishell finalized their divorce.
